Religion-focused grifttubers of the "god is telling me that you all need to give me money for my new jet" type won't work as the people who fall for that type of stuff are normies who would be turned off by the anime character. Right-wing grifttubers who also aren't actual believers but use religion as false justification and shield to fall back on are the most plausible and common "religious" vtuber you see.
