I think if I had managed to bullshit the interview and got into Holostars the first thing I would have done would be to grab my model and shove it away, replaced it with a low quality mspaint doodle I made based on the model(one frame for when I'm talking, one for when I'm not) and streamed that way. I would have probably gotten bonked for it, something about tampering with Cover IP and damaging the brand or whatever, but I would have tried.
I just wouldn't feel comfortable having an anime pretty boy be my stand-in, I would feel like I'm lying to the audience and lying to myself. Kinda like what that Sarah Anderson girl does.

That's really what it boils down to, male vtubers are seen with suspicion and distrust while female vtubers are given the benefit of the doubt. It's not le bad or wrong, but it is what it is.
