I have found the explanation as to why big vtubers like to give it shoutouts to other vtubers, or more precisely why the low 3views tend to do it.Most of these people have reached a point in their careers in which they are capable of sustaining a good amount of viewers around, maybe 60 or perhaps even 70, but they still need to have a push to ensure that they keep their numbers "soaring", and because they haven't found any other way to gain higher CCV, they dedicate themselves to something simple in nature: they give shoutouts to other much smaller vtubers.At 3view you have already learned some things, and one of those is that shoutouts are, unless properly performed, meaningless for the person who gets it. Even in the best endorsement type of shoutouts, in most cases the shouted out person gains no more than a fraction of the attention from viewers, which has to get also filtered through the reality that even if some paid attention not all would even attempt to follow. When the shout-out, too, is much more basic in nature, the potential for a "loss" is much slimmer, because in a mention of a few seconds where something along the lines of "oh X! Good to see you! Let me give you a quick shoutout... Please give them a follow, they do some (basic description)" which doesn't last more than a minute at best, the partnered streamer gets to save face by acting like they care and the shouted-out vtuber gets to feel rewarded.This, then, lets the partnered low view keep a second flow of content creators, and opens up the possibility of a third extra inflow: firstly, the basic vtubers who like to fish for the attention, unsuspecting of this mechanism, keep contributing to the CCV, and that's why it's utmost important to randomize when they will get the shout-out, you don't want to immediately give them one, you don't want to give them one even if they aren't there and their content is mentioned or something that you could reference either way, it has to happen in front of them to give them the satisfaction and illusion of interest. And, secondly, because this is the case, the more naive innocent streamers who might have gotten two or three shoutouts then believe that you are a deserving target for their raid, that's why you also make sure to be doing this throughout the stream, otherwise it wouldn't really work for your goal of having a high CCV.With this, and once again with the hands-on approach of having to manually type in chat the shoutout, the ritual that shows how much you care, and the factor of so many people who then willingly drop by in hopes of getting chosen next, you can avoid remaining in the so bad layer of high 2view and finally reach 3view. And, as a final addition, the fact that you don't need to mention this allows you to have a much more proper control over the way in which this works: you botice someone who loves to fish for your attention then dip instantaneously after the shout-out?
