Is there any EN vtubers around that can actually manage to keep up kayfabe, i.e., stay in character? English vtubers seem allergic to separating their personal lives from their streams. No, I do not want to know that "funny" incident that happened to you at school or whatever the fuck you want to go on about. When I watch streamers, that shit is tolerable. But when I watch vtubers, I ain't looking at whoever the hell you are legally. As far as I am concerned, you are an IRL anime girl made to entertain me, the viewer, and talk about your funny fictional anime girl stuff.I thought the whole point of vtubing for these bitches was the separation of their IRL lives from their streaming careers. That's the whole point of the character names and introduction. But you can't have a good thing without the lowest denominator trying to cash in on it with their low effort slop, I guess. So anons, any good EN vtubers around that can manage to keep up the kayfabe? Corporate or indie are both fine. Personality and everything else are secondary, I don't mind any GFE content, or if they're not interested in it. As a matter of fact, if either of those better matches their kayfabe, I'm good with it. Same with whether or not they’re parasocial. All I'm concerned about is them staying in character. Nothing's perfect, but anywhere close to that will do.
Probably the strongest example is Fuwamoco.
It's too hard to be lore wise accurate to your character for instance Biboo's character can fly but she can't depict experiences where she could have avoided by simply flying, the same logic applies to many of the talents portraying a certain character
i think you just don't like any vtuber at all no matter the language, almost all of them talk about irl experiences to some extent, even fuwamoco
I don't think you'll ever like a vtuber, EN or no. At least not of the streaming variety, maybe stick to prerecorded content.
>>111139640kayfabe does not equal lore. it's more like, awareness that you have to put on a show, that this isn't completely "real".
>>111135944Streams are too long and women are too chatty to help themselves but to share shit nobody asked about. Your best bet are those old-school Actual Youtubers who don't livestream with their models but instead post short-format videos, like Kizuna AI. I know a few JP channels like this, but what EN chuubas do this? Well, I know at least one... pic related.
>>111143497I'm not a literal toddler. her entire channel is shit I am way too old to care about. cute model though
at this point, there is only Neuro-sama/Evil, since she literally has no IRL self.
>>111143740That and it's actually a cool project even if we put aside the vtubing aesthetics. Though yeah, it is fucking funny that an Ai made by some alcoholic britbong who doesn't even care about the chuba community somehow mogs most EN vtubers.
>>111135944wilhelmina frost has pretty decent kayfabe
>>111135944You do know there are animes about girls having funny incidents at school, right?
