We will never know unfortunately. Saba's character seemingly will end in a similar way. Saba will be remembered as a liar and left her audience without a goodbye.

I'm not sure what on the internet is real anymore. It's harder to tell what with the rise of AI generated art and YouTubers hiding behind anime masks. But Saba's love of singing seems real! Songs and stories are humanity's way of communication! Ideas are shared across history through our art. We sing to express emotions and to connect with others. A singer's voice speaks for her audience and conversely inspires them. I want your music to make the world a better place. Only continue publishing music if you have a message to share with the world.

I wouldn't mind if Saba's actor stops content creation. I want this para-social dream to end. But I would be lying if I said I didn't want closure. If Saba decides to come back to content creation, I have some suggestions:
Pre-recorded videos instead of live streams. Videos add a layer of separation between idol and fans.
Music focused. Singing seems to be the only thing Saba's actor actually loves.

I had an epiphany and I think I finally realized what Cover meant when they called her a "brand risk".
Everything all makes sense now to me if I'm right. I think it's also the reason she why she was so upset with managemnt and why she made Ash Again.
The reason they called her a brand risk never had anything to do with her jokes or her content.
To Cover, she was supposed to be their golden goose for their western market. She was the most subbed vtuber in the world and they wanted her to be the defacto mascot for hololive EN.

But in late 2021, things changed. They started to become worried what would happen if her fans, who were completely in love with her, ever found out the truth. I think when she moved, Cover became very upset with her. It probably made everything more difficult to coordinate and it created A LOT more opportunities for something to go wrong and have everything be exposed. I suspect the company began to think it would be inevitable that her fans would eventually find out, and so they began to keep her at arms length. Things like sponsorships required little investment on the company's part, so they still welcomed those, but for things like expensive songs, MVs, and projects, she was deprioritized because she was deemed too risky to invest in.
After all, in 2021, Cover was right off the heels with what happened with Rushia, hololive's most superchatted talent of all time. There's no way Cover wasn't constantly worried about something similar happening with their most subbed talent of all time who was also their brand ambassador to the West.

I think eventually, Gura began to grow bitter about not receiving the investment from the company that she thought she deserved. I think that might have contributed to why she began to heavily cut back on streaming starting in late 2022 after coming back from her Japan trips.
She told us one of the main reasons she graduated was because she was sick of the expectations that were placed upon her. I always thought she meant fan expectations to stream, but maybe it was more about the expectations to be a pure idol she felt coming from both her fans AND the company.
Her success made her too important to the continued operations of Cover. They all probably thought that if she ever became the next Rushia, their reputation in the West would never be able to recover.
I can't imagine management would describe her as a brand risk to her face unless they were upset with decisions she had made that they felt jeopardized hololive's success as a whole.
