General sales for the HoloEN concert have been open for almost 2 days already and it's nowhere close to selling out. I remember the other EN concerts all sold out almost instantly, including last year's so it's not about the graduations. What happened? Do Holofans really hate LA that much? Gas prices too high? The Scottish woman (I think it was her, either her or the German) when she was initially detained and informed of the visa issue she apologised and said she'd immediately get a flight out (even showed proof of funds) yet still ended up being locked up for over a week. That's not good for tourism and not good for events like the concert. That's the core issue.

Not selling out completely isn't an issue if they sell 90% of the tickets. When Cover might start to cut back is when they only sell 70% of the tickets but we are at least 1 or 2 years away from having to worry about that.The graduations did hurt the company's reputation and it's getting hard to argue against that when fans are becoming more reluctant to spend money on Hololive. The recession is also hurting EN fans and concerts/merch are by definition optional expenses. 2026 is a nasty combination of factors for the vtuber market though I expect Hololive EN will still have a smaller drop in revenue than Nijisanji EN.
