The Cover NDA is funny in that they can make vague general complaints but certain details are completely off limits and talking about them could get them a Mel style termination. That helps keep the Hololive brand image squeaky clean but it also means that some disputes fester for years until they rage quit. That is why it's really easy to be cynical towards Hololive since they have little reason to improve the situation with the talents and large graduation wave in 2025 could end up being a recurring cycle.

Why does this keep happening?

Seeing what these girls do when they leave hololive, I'm not convinced their creativity is actually being hampered much. Have yet to see a former holo do anything interesting or that different from what they did in holo.

There's clearly no such thing. Holos and especially Homos at the moment(kek) can freely disparage Cover whenever they feel like it as long as they don't breach NDA. You're trying to make up this headcanon that Kiara despises management and nobody working for Cover has any freedom but the truth is there are things she likes about management and things she doesn't, and despite having restrictions in some areas they still have a lot of freedom in others. The reality of the situation isn't as dramatic as you want it to be.

To say that I know for certain would be a lie, but there very likely is one stipulated in their contract. Its standard in Japanese media businesses. Sure, they can make fun of Yagoo and make vague statements of discontent in the company's direction (disagreements with management), but you'll never hear them outright call management out on their bullshit. Yes, it could be the NDA, or just plain professionalism, but having a non-disparage clause can't be discounted either.

I mean, it goes without saying. But what I'm telling you is that that freedom is very limited, enough that there wouldn't be constant complaints within the company about it if it were otherwise.
