When I played, that's how it was, yes. Dynamis/Primal were sparsely populated. And the populated servers would often have queue times, another thing Gigi wants to avoid. I'd have to server transfer off Dynamis and go to Aether or something just to be able to progress the damn story because no one was around to do duties (dungeons) with or the raids

Fanfest is legit just people who play FFXIV meeting up irl, trading stickers of each other characters and talking about the game. Majority of players are married or dating so you’re probably not going get stuff like meeting and fucking. It’s very fun and I highly recommend it if you play FFXIV

Trust me grem, I have lent an ear to my sister and her little get-together's rants for 10 years now about the enshitification of kpop. Gigi seemingly has shit taste lots of times but she puts herself through it because she's smart enough to use slop like Plave as a social tool to maintain relations and appearances she cares about. She's an unironic appreciator of the fine arts and uses that analytical eye for evil and furthering her degenerate agendas.
A more sympathetic conclusion is that she doesn't want to be sad anymore but things either don't change or keep getting worse so she "learns" to appreciate things in niches that she finds people are having a good time. Think all the communities she kept joining and reading up on or needing to imprint on a character to tolerate gachaslop. If it takes disassociation and telling herself that she had better live a life of joy because her brief existence isn't worth being spent on more negativity, then she'll do it. "Life is beautiful.
