Outside of the usual "be a cute guy or girl" type stuff, just make it easy to donate. Sure people can use the bits system, but some people like to use other donation systems like streamelements and stuff. Set up a clear donation process and post it on your profile so people can easily click and donate rather than fumble around looking for your ko-fi or something instead of using twitch's donation system. (if that's what they prefer)

Also remind people that they can donate and sub. Put up a small sub goal or donation goal in the corner of your screen and such. Don't be too obvious about it, maybe mention it once a stream casually.

If you want an example, you know how much YouTubers always say to like and subscribe every video? It's not just cause they're desperate, it's a technique called a "call to action" (search it up). People are more incentivized to do something like that if the creator asks for it. It also reminds people that they can do it in the first place, people tend to just watch and forget they want to support you like that. But again, don't be obvious about it and don't overdo it.
