It's over for vtubers who bot on Twitch.

you know what would stop viewbotting? public shaming.
>>
>>111675947
That didn't work to get niji to stop botting their people
>>
>>111675947
People already tried that with Oli
>>
>>111675791
>willingly given the platform ccvid
it's over for twitchnigs
>>
Look I'm no expert. But I've gotta ask, and I hope for a legit discussion. What is the reason for botting? Are they fake accounts made by software? Do you even need to make fake accounts for bots? Yes I understand botting in the past and maybe now was to make it look like streamers have more views than they do and to push them up on a list so more people can see streamers publicly. But why would someone bot a stream these days? Is it crazy fans? Trolls? I've seen plenty of bots doing shitty advertising in stream chats, but other than dodgy links, what's the point? And are there people out there really dedicated to botting, can they make money from it?
>>
>>111675791
If Youtube cracked down on botting too, Nijsanji would shut down overnight.
>>
>>111676145
>can they make money from it?
Yes, people who bot can fool companies for sponsorships and other kind of deals.
>>
>>111675791
Olivia, Shylily, Fefe, Silver sweating nervously
>>
>>111676181
Oh so companies pay bots, so they can say "Hey look at all these numbers here. Please invest" Is that it?
>>
>>111676219
Shylily is Dan Clancy's personal cocksleeve so she'll be miraculously unaffected by this.
>>
>>111676156
Would they really? Bots don't buy memberships or donate. Legit question.
>>
>>111676231
Well yes, but that's not what I'm upset about
>>
>>111676145
Sponsors look at CCV when they decide on how much they pay, the higher the CCV the more they will pay.
>>
>>111676145
Sometimes it's to make the streamer look bad. Like some ligger botted Olivia Monroe to 10k during some botting drama so Tectone would notice her and fuck with her
>>
>>111676287
I dont know what you're upset about if you dont tell me. I'm the asshole with the post asking all the questions.
>>
>>111676311
The micropenis rapist guy?
>>
>>111676311
That's the thing, there's zero way to tell when botting is malicious or not.
>>
>>111676328
I don't like it when people present things as bigger than they actually are
>>
>>111675791
Twitch allows it, and will continue to allow it, so they can dupe advertisers.
>>
Another question. How easy is it to bot? I'm not asking how to do it, but it happens so much apparently, is it really that easy to do? I mostly watch small indies, its very clear they dont get bots. They 2 or 3 small views. Maybe some get to almost 1k, so botting doesn't effect my favourite girls.
>>
non botters should be more upset at those botting. sponsorships, concerts, appearances etc are many times based on how big you are and those botting are taking opportunities away from them.
>>
>>111676399
Ah i gotcha.
>>
Clio moving to youtube only
>>
>>111676423
Kinda like fake reviews for movies and games. Yeah that makes sense.
>>
>>111676427
It's not the streamers themselves running the bots, they pay a service to do it for them. So it's as easy as entering your credit card details.
>>
>>111676399
is this all a micropenis thing?
>>
>>111676511
So there's many guilty streamers for this shit then? I've always assumed the biggest streamers out there are botted. And I'm pretty sure that peanut guy is. Hate that guy but, people like him would already have good numbers, are people really that greedy for even bigger numbers?
>>
>>111675791
Thing is how are they gonna cap the stream of people who had that botted CCV range for a long time if they are using their historical data? Using past streams will not work against them.
>>
>>111676581
yes, people like making money
yes, people like making more money
>>
>>111675791
>ecelebs pioneer botting
>vtubers get the punishment
make it make sense.
>>
>>111676145
Popularity is self perpetuating anon. If the sheep see a full flock in a pasture they'll stop by to graze.
>>
>>111676626
I cant argue with that.. Like I said before I'm not an expert on this botting shit. But I guess at the end of the day, fake advertising has been a thing since forever and I guess that's what mostly botting is these days.
>>
>>111675791
lol ive heard this bullshit so many times before
>>
>>111676694
Lol, I like that take.
>>
>>111676614
>Long time streamers with bots (the main grifters on the industry) will not feel it.
This is just a small band-aid.
>>
>>111675791
This is a statement for the advertisers so they can pretend they're doing something about it and the advertisers don't beat them to death. Largely it will do nothing and they'll slowly phase it back out so people don't notice how blatant it is.
>>
>>111676256
Wonder why though. Dan Clancy has access to all the best twitch whores' puss and Shy's RTX is mid at best.
>>
Have a chuuba I like to watch who averages 500 ccv every stream, chat is dead and slow as fuck besides two mods and about 3-5 chatters including myself. I think she's viewbotting fellas.
>>
>>111676928
Idk why they do this i feel like it makes actual growth impossible
>>
>>111676922
Because the other twitch thots settled on just powertripping staff members
>>
>>111676922
German so she probably rims his asshole. Most girls won't do that
>>
>>111675947
but it would also reward the channels with more attention
>>
>>111675791
viewbotting is so prevalent this shit is not stopping it
>>
>>111676922
Maybe shylily just really does it for him?
>>
>>111676145
See >>111676694
If you have a big number on your stream people are more likely to click in. If you don't they're less likely to even give you a chance. At the end of a day you're the one who has to get them to stay but you can't do that if they won't even give you a click, which most people won't do unless you're a big titty lewd woman.
It also matters for algorithm reasons with Twitch recommending people with more live viewers regardless of their follower/subcount.
Also in game categories it puts you up at or near the top as opposed to at the very bottom of potentially 10s or hundreds of people. It just makes you more likely to be seen.
Another reason that's more of a thing for larger streamers is sponsorships.
Ignoring that some sponsors might pay off your ccv for your current stream most actually pay a base rate based on your average ccv over your past few streams, so if you put that number higher you instantly make a bunch of money by doing basically nothing. Now with anti botting measures you mostly need to use AWS or some other cloud instance to bot nowadays which will cost you actual money so it's not so worth it anymore but I'm sure they still make a small profit.

In case anyone doesn't know, this is an attempt to make sure the platform doesn't become even more of a money sink (It already loses money) and Amazon comes in to slit their throats.
Real viewership continues to drop YoY as seen in the graph, while twitch does next to nothing about bots. That means the ones leaving are the real viewers who actually bring in money while only the bots remain. Now the game plan
>If Twitch DOES remove bots it will show just how badly their actual userbase is, completely destroying how much money they can make off advertisers and investors
>This would be completely unacceptable
>Advertisers like real, actual, active viewers and they pay more if you can prove that you have them. This is why Twitch ads actually pay the streamer less than Youtube ads
>Prove you DON'T and never have had them and they're honestly more likely to sue you
>This means you want to lead the advertisers to believe you're taking action on bots without actually taking action on bots, leading them to think those fake viewers are real and plugging the hole for a little while before the lie wears off
>Hence why Twitch has made this exact claim of "taking action on bots" numerous times without anything visibly changing and more and more twitch streamers have begun to blatantly rely on bots including one former manager who openly said you have to or you're "losing"
>>
>>111676219
>Shylily
I can tell you with absolute certainty that shylily, ironmouse, Hasan and every twitch thot with an onlyfans who has met dan clancy will not be affected by this
>>
>>111676449
Something happened after March 5th that killed a botnet on YouTube. Clio, Nijisanji as a whole, peanut and Nimi were heavily affected.
Clio used to be so heavily botted that after most of her bots disappeared it lowered phase's avarage across the board.

holobros we're next

>>111677465
my part with YouTube after reporting to management because the unnatural spike was constant at a certain time
>>
>>111676145
The more viewers you have the more you're separated from everyone else. Obviously you'd need people using the platform in the first place, but to have your stream pushed onto the front page or recommended is very powerful to gain new eyes on you. If it isn't being pushed on the front page then being the first person people see when they click on a game category.

If I were to start streaming, I'd love it if I were seen by people right away, but I know if I was a new streamer I'd be buried and all there would be is a slow climb over years if I don't touch anything like viewbots.
>>
>>111676145
Viewerfags need to be a part of the most popular thing just look at #
>>

Hasan has an onlyfans?
>>
>>111675947
>accountability for the demographics most guilty
what are you taking, crazy pills?
>>
>>111675791
>CCV cap
So how does that apply you as a viewer? You start watching and the number doesn't go up?
>>
>>111679612
>how does that apply you as a viewer?
It doesn't. It's a streamer punishment for viewbotting
>>
>>111679612
>You start watching and the number doesn't go up
Basically yeah, if they find suspicion of someone botting, they will probably put them in a cap. If real traffic flocks in and out, then the cap is removed. If they find that it keeps flocking then the cap remains. It isn't a punishment for the viewer, it's for the streamer, and technically you are still counted because technically you are filling the spot of someone who's likely a bot.
>>
>>111676301
Sponsors are retarded then

Hopefully YT will learn a lesson from Twitch and cap viewership for the biggest YT viewbotter
>>
>>111679962
obviously, despite like youtube subscription counts not having meant a single fucking thing for the last like 10 years, it's still one of the main metrics a lot of companies use to determine sponsorships
>>
Surely they realize anyone can bot these streams? It’s time to do little trolling maybe :ĎDDDDDDDD

Can’t wait until they try to explain how he suddenly jumps up thrice in viewership, seemingly out of nowhere.
>>
>>111676614
This right here. News made the rounds how widespread botting is got a few of the lower streamers into botting themself. This will only hurt longtime streamers that recently started botting while the old gang is unhurt.
>>
>>111686300
they talk about him everyday on the biggest news channel in america

And how do they know this?
>>
>>111676581
I don't remember exactly who, but a big streamer (or his manager / agency) once said that most of top streamers botted so if you don't bot, you are just doing yourself a disservice
