The Monitor is temporary
Can i post my Coomerstation?
Updated pic taken yesterday. >>8104469Looks nice I like the backlight. What is that on your left hand side? I can't tell what I'm looking at. >>8104536Reminds me of that TNG episode. >>8104555Keep it up anon>>8104558Of course>Tried to get my new Betta in the pic but little fucker is elusive
>>8104559>What is that on your left hand side?a table hook in the front - phone inside a wooden stand in the back.
I stay unorthodoxPlanning to replace the desk top with something more interesting after paying a visit to /diy/ for some tips on staining/preserving a nice piece of wood. This board is just some trash laying around. To be fair almost everything here is salvaged from a curb.
>>8104469Respect the lighting but monitors way too big for my taste. Nice and clean though!>>8104559 THIS is nice. Tbh love everything about this, plus a healthy looking plant is huge. 10/10>>8104579Looks like you just moved into the guest room at your grandma's house lmao. Kinda like the desk though. Definitely would like to see what you can come up with.
>>8104579Where's ypur keyboard?
>>8104594It's built into the laptop silly
CRT's are the superior display technology, after taking this photo I decided to listen to Bailando only to get jumpscared by the biggest fucking spider I have ever seen.

>>8104536What a fag holy shit
>>8104817>>8104579>>8104555I like these a lot
>>8104592>Looks like you just moved into the guest room at your grandma's house lmaoFucking nailed it. They're in poor health and I'm the only one in the family that gives enough of a shit to take care of them. I'd be surprised if they made it another couple years. Rent is helping out around the place and I pay for my own food and portion of utilities, so it's not like I'm freeloading. It's a bitchless existence though.Anyway I just bought one of these off of craigslist, a genuine 1972 Army portable field desk. It's gonna be a project to get it cleaned up, repainted and sealed (tested positive for lead paint kek) but it's gonna be sick.
>>8104939Aye bro I feel you there. Personally I was living in a unit above my dad's garage when I took the pic that I posted. Big respects for being there for your elders though, that kind of deed might leave you bitchless, but it's the kind of thing a woman appreciates. That desk is swagged out, good luck on it, bro. Reminds me that I need to hit up FB market place for some shelves and give myself something to work on. All the best to you!
>>8104555phil or linguistics?
>>8104869shut the fuck up zoomie
>>8105152looks cluttereddon't like the lights, feels like they would give you issues
I'd say not bad for 10 bucks lamps when you just moved in and ain't got no cash...
>>8105152Why is your keyboard so far left? Do you use it like that?Feels like no leg room, but I dig your sound system
>>8105232Well I'm used to TKL keyboard but it's broken right now (& I'm broke xD) so I use an old one currently. There's not a lotta room for legs indeed but I hate to have my feet in the cables :/ It's a real problem I agree. I need to find some kind of small furniture to put under the desk & remove the amps from here...Cheers for the audio thingy ^^
Both. Primarily Philosophy though.
Working towards upgrading but happy with this setup for now
>>8105291>Atomberg fanGood evening, sir.
>>8104469is there a way to get the retro style windows without going through a 100-step process?
>>8105302the exact program they're using for that taskbar (which i also use) is called retrobar https://github.com/dremin/RetroBar
>>8105302>>8105308OP here. use open-shell. easiest way by far to customize taskbar / start menu / start button. you don't need to modify any system files.
>>8105291best battlestation so far..
Here’s my poorfag setup.
got all my displays in place, now to clean up.
>>8105851>poorfagDude that looks awesome
>>8105226first time seeing this setup. it's cozy and i like it but aren't you worried the AC will leak water and cause a fire? also this is begging for some desk backlight. >>8105851you got a nice station. shut up.>>8104559too many monitors imo, creates an uneasy feeling.
>>8105888>>8105895T-hanks bros.

I am boring as always.

>>8107442Dell MR2416. 1920*1200, like 110% sRGB, full dicom preset coverage, glass face with a glossy anti glare coating, and able to be cleaned with up to 70% isopropyl. It's only 60hz, and it's true refresh time is 16.9ms with full transition being almost 35ms. It's a very slow panel, with lots of ghosting, but I like the colour profile and glass screen. I don't really play games much so it doesn't bother me.
Current setup is this, but with the tower now on a tall wireframe rack. Spacemaxxing in an apartment with a new baby. I also have a 19" portrait mode monitor to the left of the main monitor. main is a 32" 16:10 2560x1440 which is just plain lovely for productivity, and I do a lot of PCB design so it works out better than a typical widescreen. Plus- it was free from the e-waste at work.
>>8104559i can see you have a heater but you know that a betta really needs 5 gallons with a heater AND a filter right?
>>8104559I like that setup.Had some of my monitors setup like that for couple of years! Worked well for me!
>>8107471poor 3d printer. Isn't it uncomfortable, having a 3d printer between your legs while using your computer?
>>8106843> no coaster> still clean* respect teanon, respect
>>8107502It's about 5 gal with a tank filter. He's a happy guy leaves bubbles around ect.
>>8107852Whoa! Why is that so sturdy built?
>>8107867It exists for military applications
>>8107546I usually lean back in my chair and when gaming, and haunch forward to touch-type. I've since converted te printer to have the spool on the right side, so i was able to tuck it much further into the back left corner, so It's actually very unobtrusive now.
>>8107502I've been keeping Bettas in 2.5G AGA brand tanks with filters and heaters for the last thirty years. 5 gallons is a pretty huge space for a betta.
>>8107867Panasonic Toughbooks are based
>>8107867he got memed into each and every "what if..." imaginable.
1/2The computer running this is 13 years old, and I'm scared of the motherboard dying so I only use this station for video editing.
2/2It's been a year since the divorce, and I think building my own PC has helped me move on. That and the mead.

>>8109686>>8109686Yeah I've never been one to have posters, definetly could be more personalised. >>8110161Much better pic anon, what IEM's you using?
>>8110312Moondrop May, best ones I've ever had. I'm no audiophile, but people describe them as 'warm and fun' and I very much agree. My headphones are for people who work with audio (I don't) so they sound pretty bland, I like them for movies. For gayming and listening to music (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1XNNZPWQMuIwte7IblgYbT?si=fb1c63d6193e4852) I use the May.What do you like to listen to anon?

>>8110529Thanks. It had been stored up on its side, the caps in the psu exploded and drained all down the board basically ruining a lot of the original internals, including the old isa slots. I just cut it up and put my parts in it.
>>8110578Nice! Can we see back, too? Looks nice!
>>8110580I never took one of the back. The way I rivited in the new tray basically hid most of it so it just looked like any old junker from the back other than the old exhaust hole I had not covered up. I moved my PC back to a traditional tower, and now 4u server chassis.
>>8104559you could fall in love with an orangutan in there.>>8104558where is the aforementioned coomerstation, anon? we won't mind the stains .. it's kind of the point.
>>8110335>Moondrop MayThanks for the info Anon! I may pick some of these up. I was looking at the Hexa for an upgrade from my Reds but may want to try another brand and like that the default cord is USB c... I listen to a lot but recently have been enjoying a lot of hip hop and rap. >>8110408>Ignore that other anon, he's a retard.
Can we please go on with real battlestations?
>>8111486Nice little vertical monitor there anon.. I wish I could find a USB C one that ratio that was smaller for my set up.
>>8111486>Hoes on whiteboard lmfao
My fire hazard station.
Cramped space
>>8111672Nice taste in albums anon, I always like this station. It does feel a little cramped with the bed there so close.
>>8111610Hilarious... Hope things are looking up anon hahaha
Staish A
and staish B
>>8109686>>8111392which ai slop are you using for these anon
>>8111703Just threw them into ChatGPT with a prompt, kinda fun for some reason. At least it keeps the thread alive on this slow ass board haha..
>>8111695>>8111696Interesting set up anon, hard to see in the pics but I like the plant section.
>>8111672neat and tidy!
>>8111695We'd probably get along. This is an entire feel of a space I've lived and know the feel of.
>>8111705I got you mane. I keep a list of what I've grown from seed / spore. Easy to show them as a phylogenetic tree by downloading a published phylogeny and then just pruning out what I don't have. This tree is a bit out of dateEverything is getting rooted by spider mites at the moment tho I don't even know where the little cunts came from. I discovered arthropods in general HATE this nonionic surfactant cleaner that costs 1 euro 30 at lidl. Slays flies faster than flyspray and same for the mites. I think it just fills the tracheae really quickly and they suffocate
>>8111855That's awesome that you keep track like that. I only grow Pathos atm but it's my favorite plant. So easy to maintain I haven't killed one yet and they look great imo.
removed 2nd monitor, new Wooting keyboard, leftside file cabinet fubar>>8105904interesting table top you got there ;)
>>8104536nigga solving crimes

>>8104469a lot of toys and figurines
What do you think?
>>8113725WILSON
>>8113725I like the screen layout and the lamp. I'd want a mechanical keyboard myself but if you like that one it's fine. The toys HAVE to go, damn..Hide the toys away and add some art or more lighting and you'll be looking good desu
>>8113474nice schizo station anon
>>8104536this town aint what it used to be, toots

>>8109172The laptop below the main monitor is an underrated way of doing things. It's surprisingly versatile when you have limited space. Not to mention you only have to look up and down with your eyes. You can also close the laptop and only work with one monitor and save desk space.
>>8114189This picture convinced me to get a portrait looking monitor, comfy af

>>8114667thanks :3it surprises me how close most monitors in this thread are >>8111695i like your little plants
>>8114018I like that! Especially because you're using an iPad with external monitor as your battle station like a real personal computer! I don't see that often these days. Unfortunately it's often frowned upon...Awesome!
>>8114923Good catch, Anon! I actually do use an 11in M1 iPad Pro as my daily driver. I found that it can do 95% of what I want to on a daily basis. The only things it can’t do well on its own are PC gaming, obviously, and programming.Fortunately, I’m something of a homelabber and have a server that I can offload those tasks onto as the backend while still using my iPad as the frontend. For programming, I use VS Code Server hosted on my lab and accessed via Safari on my iPad.For gaming I have a Windows 11 VM that streams via Sunshine/Moonlight to my iPad at its native resolution, 120fps, and zero discernible compression or latency. I have an MMO mouse I plug into the iPad alongside ethernet to play FFXIV that way.As a dedicated iPad power user, there’s nothing you can’t do. It’s all very cool! Thanks for taking an interest :)
>>8115044Thanks, Anon! :)That's a fine setup with the server in the backend.Today everything is possible with remote tools!Wow! So the w11 vm is on the server then? Never tried sunshine/moolight before...I think I should give it a try :) Yes, it is all very cool, indeed!Thank you, Anon!Great solution!
>>8108665I really like this one, looks clean but cozy. Nice work!!

>>8115393The fan keeps me alive in summer :(
small upgrade.
I really need to clear my desk, it's so cluttered with just random junk. besides that here's my shitty setup.
>>8115630Just saw your cute and uber comfy ThinkYuri T60 CRT deska on /w/.Great stuff, bud. Also, where goes the output of desktop & PS?
>>8115631My desktop is currently unplugged, I'm awaiting a DisplayPort to VGA adaptor to connect my desktop to my CRT. Then the for the PlayStation I move the CRT over and bring out my 1080p monitor with a HDMI port. I'm thinking of doing something to make it more convenient with the PlayStation, but I'm not quite sure what exactly yet.
