He made a living selling paintings, that's how he was able to travel all around Germany debating people and eventually amassing a following since he came from poverty. The whole reason he even got into politics was because to get his art into museums he needed to be a graduate of art school, but he got rejected because they had diversity quotas to make. After that he started looking around for a different field to get into, which is when he realized they were all messed up, so then he started trying to get to the bottom of how it all got messed up.
