>>5947910thorgal is really good, at least the first 20 albums
>>5947720Thank you for all this, OP. I really appreciate it.
>>5947912>Enfant des étoilesEnjoyed this.
>>5951627Good animation, good comic... I just wish it wasn't such a fucking downer ending.
>>5952584Yes, it is really good. Reading until volume 29 is worth it in my opinion. After that, Van Hamme left and the series lost its essence to me. I stopped reading shortly after. The multiple alternative series were too extensive as well. Not everyone needs to be an epic adventurer, and it demystifies the universe too much.I've heard that they want to merge all the series into one big final. The only remaining series would be Thorgal Saga where every story is a one-shot from a different author. They found a clever trick to make Thorgal Saga canon. Apparently old Thorgal uses the ring of ouroboros that was present in volume 15, The Master of the Mountains, which allows him to travel in time. So authors have the freedom to explore the timeline they desire. I haven't read it yet but it looks promising.
I should also read the series about Kriss de Valnor someday because I like the character.
Another quick translation. I have fond memories of buying this particular comic book as a kid. Good times.
Don't have any webms ready.Check Kája Saudek name. His 3x Kaja Saudek comic book and ton other drawn stories. He was legendary underground and than not so underground artist in Communist era in Czechoslovakia. Died in 2015 His style is superb
>>5955979One of the stories from 3x SAUDEKBest i could find with so so translation in description of each page.https://www.deviantart.com/bandi0/gallery/23889740/arnal-by-kaja-saudek
>>5956062My man. thank you
>>5956062Short video inviting people to the exhibition.Including clip from movie Saudek was involved with making drawings.
>>5956226>>5956062This is the movie's intro Čtyři Vraždy Stačí Drahoušku (Four murders are enough darling) It's homage and parody to american gangster/police movies. His art is through out the whole movie. It's a funny film but most of it will be probably lost for non native speaker even with subtitles. Maybe i am wrong.
>>5956245From same movie.

Boguslaw PlochPolish comic artist another legend in his area.Among his works are EKSPEDYCJA - The Gods from Outer Space (sci-fi) FUNKY KOVAL (sci-fi), Wiedźmin (the Witcher comic). He also illustrated the first editions book covers for Andrzej Sapkowski's The Witcher.

>>5947912Is there any comic series based off mythologically accurate nordic folklore insteads of the jewed marvel larp?
>>5960170Based on the mythology itself I know Odin by Nicolas Jarry and Erwan Seure-Le Bihan, outstanding art.I also know Mjöllnir by Olivier Peru and Pierre-Denis Goux, I haven't read it but it's fairly popular.
There must be a lot of viking stories with a mythological background. One I can recommend is Asgard by Xavier Dorison and Ralph Meyer.

oc, I'm playing with kdenlive
I heard that the game wasn't great, but I really liked the comic book it was based on.
From the season 2 blu-ray extras. I don't have a blu-ray drive on my pc so it was a pain to rip. I had to dump it from a jailbroken ps4 via ftp. Then decrypt it with a keydb and vlc + libaacs.

>>5964169You made this comics or just posting it ?
>>5966669nah, I meant that I did the video edit. The original comic book is Canardo - L'Amerzone by Benoit Sokal.

A short animation made by Bastien Vivès when he was a student for a competition to create the new Canal J mascot. Canal J is a French television channel dedicated to children's programming. His participation was later declined.
A Sister is his best work imho

>>5947720Too bad France and Italy are too busy importing niggers and funding gay pride parades to invest in their comics and animation industry. As Arcane showed they could easily make the average Japanese animation studio look like amateurs.
>>5947720Does this scan well if you use a monochrome or a grayscale setting? I still dont understand why some folks use screentone as opposed to just shading like he is doing to get textures and lighting and the like. I mean other than time constraints, I dont know why else.
>>5969328I'm not an expert but I think the main reason for screentones is the cost-effectiveness of the print. Black ink is sufficient, while grayscale requires more ink and higher quality paper.
>>5969372Thanks anon, that makes sense, Im also not an expert but Im trying to fix that. Ill research this more, I have an webm of Takao Saito working on a Golgo13 page which I wont post since its not relevant to the thread and he was just inking and making corrections with white-out, maybe what followed involved assistants placing the screentones.
>>5954270Artist?
>>5970642Olivier Ledroit. You may know him for his work on the Might and Magic series. Here is a quick edit I just made.If you want to know more about Requiem I recommend this English subtitled video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SQO-KCydDo

>>5947723I recognized this one from my childhood, went looking for it and found some 70s/80s polish comics. "O smoku Wawelskim i Królewnie Wandzie" looks awesome, and the colors are so vivid despite the old yellow paper...
>>5973873The forever war was released in 1988, it's a good metaphor of the vietnam war. I'm not going to spoil it but it shows how veterans must have felt when they came back from the war. There's a sequel, Forever Free, which isn't as well drawn but has some really good sci-fi concepts. I love the ending. If the speed of light allows us to move forward in time, would it be possible to explore the end of the universe?>O smoku Wawelskim i Królewnie WandzieThat looks cool, and it’s Grzegorz Rosiński drawing.

>>5974016I was never really into comics but my father's friend gave me the first (I think) part of The Forever War when I was like 5 years old (the rest probably belonged to my uncle). I'm about to finally finish the series, after two decades.Not sure if it's my fault but now the comic misses it's cover and has some pages aggresively scrlibbled on with a pen ;_;
The annual Thorgal Saga just came out. It looks like they used AI to animate the trailer.
I really liked this one
