Gondola won't die as long as we cherish himStravers Archive: https://gondola.nabein.me/listDaily Gondolas: https://x.com/DailyGondolasOld Thread: >>5957046
Anyone know what the song from >>5801872 is? Seems to appear every few months as "winterice-gondola.webm" or "winterice.webm". A repost of the webm would also be kino.
Ever seen a gondola in the woods? They just stare. Weird fellas.

Wild to see these threads getting archived so quickly. Is there anywhere else that still posts Gondolas, or still makes new ones? Are we all that's left?
>>5997153just a tourist here, but it's sad to see another vestige of the old internet fading away. I enjoy these comfy memories and wish you good luck in preserving them.

>>5997153I should probably make more than one a year.Honestly things are going better than ever and I don't have the feels I used to.
I have some ideas, but I'm not in the mood to create things
Had a minor heart attack today when I noticed my gif (and by extension my webm folder) suddenly vanish from it's regular spot. Luckily, I was able to find it.Happy fall.
>>5995398Why is the Gondola crying?
>>5996351awww, i remember i made that vid for the last gondola thread. wasn't expecting someone to post it in a new onei am having very bad days and bad thoughts lately. your post made me smile, thanks for remembering my webm, anon <3
>>5997479Gondola belongs in the snow
>>5999449
>>5999650Someone should make a Gondola set in that laboratory in Nausicaa.
>>5997153I can speak for myself and say that I simply drifted away for a while as life got more relaxed and focused. But now I'm stressed and aimless again and hey, whaddya know, I'm back. I miss the old community these threads used to have, I hope everyone's doing well, even if they're not here anymore.
based finnish meme
>>5997153The Gondola Archieve is a place to find Gondola's.But as for new ones, here is where you can find them.
Feels like the whole gondola era has come to a close, no one seems interested anymore.
>how long?until it's appreciated>>6004295it's because the threads usually do not offer anything new that's of value - I have a feeling it's mostly a couple of the same people reposting their favorite pieces over and over and over and over, and the majority of the rare new OCs miss the mark by mixing up what a Gondola should be and what /wsg/'s YGYL is, and you end up with Gondolas with weird energetic/unfitting music that just kinda... is, but doesn't elicit any response. But it's not over yet, it will be over when someone organically posts their fresh OC and it will be a Gondola with monkey rap in the background, and other anons will unironically call it soulful or /feels/ or nostalgic - that's when it will be over.
been a long time since i have been in one of these threads
>>6004723of course i forget to attach the file
>>6004295I wish I had stopped by while it was still active. the last time I saved gondolas was 2022.
>>5993334Sharing a gondola I made a few years ago
>>6004347
>>6007230respectable attempt but not really, it's not the first "Gondola at a rave/party" video out there. The colors, the difference between the uniform blob of people and the main character, they all still create the impression of the gondola being somehow separate or desolate and not "with the current" of its scenery, even though it seems to participate at first glance. The absolute brimstone dogshit I described - you'll know it when you see it, but luckily I don't think it has been created yet.
>>6005284What really sucks is to me 2022 doesn't seem like that long ago. You think something has longevity, then it's gone. But >>6004347 is right. I wish I could offer something more than reposts myself. A new generation is needed to take over, but perhaps that's not something modern /wsg/ can muster or ever will again.
I wouldn't mind making some gondolas if I really knew how to. I doubt I have the artistic skills or creativity to do so though.
>>6007746>>6007936There's no minimum requirement for quality, as long as it makes you feel. Get to it.webm for retards, or bakas or whatever they're calling it now to make a webm. audacity for combining music with some sound effects. photoshop or kirta or whatever to make a gif, steal the background.
>>5997153Samefag, made some OC. Thought I'd fight help fight the end.
>>6004295I need a full version of this
>>6009069what do you want from a full version, exactly?
>>6004295Was good when it lasted
we're still here
>>6007936Not every gondola needs to be a high quality animation>open an image in software of your choice (even MS paint will do)>draw a brown amogus on it>if it's meant to be the front side, add a simplified spurdo face>???>gondola!the only artistic skill you truly need is being able to identify an image/music combination that conveys the desired feelings
old gold
>>6004295Attention spans are diminishing anon :(I dont think those afflicted with exogenous ADHD brain rot can appreciate experiencing a single WEBM for 1-2 minutes. The old gold guard is dying. Save your gondolas and cherish them for the rest of your life. Twas a special experience the internet once offered
>>6004295Isnt there a version of this with piano music? I've been looking for it
>>6002860>>6006039
>>6010833
I saved this WEBM on September 12th, 2017
>>6002235>>6011239Changed the music, added sounds.
How's your night goin, sir?
>Only one who survived
>>5997153I used to make several a year. Now i don't make any at all. I'm too tired, dull and creative thoughts - null.
>>6007472>hey all still create the impression of the gondola being somehow separate or desolate and not "with the current" of its scenery, even though it seems to participate at first glance.Should a gondola fit in or stick out? Is it a finding waldo or a shounen protagonist hairstyle phenomena?
I'm not here often but I have been coming to these threads since around 2014, and i will keep coming here as long as they exist. It's just life, people come and go. Stay true to yourself and make the best of your own abilities. It's all you can count on when things get rough.
>>6012365Gondola is an observer, not a participant. The moment Gondola is pictured as an active participant it gets reduced to a "hey I know him" kind of mascot that is then placed in the most unfitting of settings and contexts. Not to say that it's always bad, that one viking Warduna Gondola comes to mind, but it should be emphasized that it's a divergence from form.
You never know when you'll have your last Gondola thread.
>>6014883Cant let this thread die when the last gif is a leaping gondola :'-(
>>6013792I don't like that he's looking towards the viewer, though I haven't seen your name, so it could be a reference to a scene in it.
