>>6016899Those aren't earthquake lights, those are transformers blowing up. Earthquake lights generally occur slightly before the shaking, above the fault zone, and resemble pale white lights. It's assumed they're a result of electrical energy being released by the rocks under stress, like the piezoelectric spark generator a lot of water heaters use for pilot ignition.
