Sin is a moving away from God. Any concepts that are contrary to that are simply wrong. There is one God, the path towards Him is narrow, therefore there is only one correct concept for sin. It is for the Lord to enact revenge. If God only punished some sinners for the sins they haven't returned from while ignoring other sinners with unforgiven sins then He wouldn't be just.

He knew fully well that without freedom we'd simply be flesh automatons that praise Him and that there would be less grace, however, by embracing freedom and accepting the possibility for moving away from Him (meaning embracing the bad and meaningless) the good acts are more graceful. I'm consistantly experiencing these small miraculous "accidents" following praying for the intercession of Father Seraphim Rose. I have many tabs open on my browser. I've more than once made a mistake of clicking the wrong thing (I don't do that terribly often) and I would just happen to click on a tab that was an audio of a speach from him or a reading of his writings. This is with few related tabs open, and with me scrolling around the tab bar (I have 300+ open now). Only moments ago, I prayed for his intercession, earnestly, as if it were a personal request, and used that state of earnesty and prayed to Christ. So why am I against praying to saints?
Because they are already worshiping God in heaven all the time. Heaven is a place of worship, so asking for a specific prayer is pointless because they already pray on behalf of humanity. It's like asking a river to flow or the wind to blow.

One night, deep into his many prostrations, in the proximity of the relics he wished and was asked to protect was put into a choke hold by the devil. He was greatly struggling to breathe and likely would've died but in faith asked St Arsenios to help him. In that instead he felt as if even bigger hands grabbed the arms of satan and pulled them off him. Paisios could continue praying for the whole night unbothered.
