>>6039981my family threw a crawfish boil last year and I saved this little guy, Timmy. Got him a 40 gallon tank and 16 minnows for him to prey on, I actually spent 2500 dollars on him. You know I didn't really know what I was doing at the beginning, and I guess he contracted shell rot before or slightly after I saved him. I had him for 8 months, before he unfortunately died. Procambaris Clarkii are remarkably intelligent for little water bugs, they patrol and remember their territory, and they can emotionally manipulate and deceive other creatures too. They can actually use deception to trick other crawfish into thinking they are weaker than they actually are. Timmy even learned that I would feed him at 6:30 every day, when I got off work. I remember always coming home and he would be out of his castle, waiting for his shrimp pellet. Knowing that I just let his flesh decay and grow infectious due to shell rot, which inevitably resulted in his death, it really kind of messes with me. Like all of us I've grown desensitized to nearly everything, gore, porn, death, etc, so that's saying a lot. I think subconsciously I knew something was going on with him, because I was dreaming about him every night. Anyways, he patrolled to the very end, and I guess in a last ditch attempt he tried to molt, where he then died on the spot. Suffice to say, I don't think I will be ever eating crawfish again.
I’ve been looking for a webm from around this time. It was a funny compilation vid of products being used in incredibly stupid ways, or ways that would make the product useless. If anyone recalls or knows please post.
