>>6040940The AI thread is down the hall and to the right lad.>>6041206You have a good track here anon, it does get muddy at times so I'd recommend some fine EQing of the instruments and maybe making the verb a bit dryer. Other than that this is great!
>>6041220>You have a good track here anon, it does get muddy at times so I'd recommend some fine EQing of the instruments and maybe making the verb a bit dryer. Other than that this is great! Thanks anon. Does it have a good dystopian civil war vibe? Any more specific mixing advice?
>>6041225It has an excellent dystopian civil war vibe, the only thing I'd sprinkle in some some war audioclips to really sell the whole vibe. For mixing advice, I'd look into learning more about sound staging. If you split up the track into bass (kick drum/bass gutiar) middle (guitars, pianos, synths) and highs (usually just high hats) you can more effectively get each instrument part to be distinct and clear. Another thing I'd experiment with is panning, which helps stage also. I would also look into how to sidechain instruments. Since you have an active baseline I would sidechain it to the kick drum to make the kickdrum cut through the mix a little more.
>>6041268Good advice thanks. I will try to post a remixed version at some point ITT. I haven't worked on this track in a while but it was one of my favorites and I'd like to improve it.

WIP, it's missing something.
>>6042525NOOM!
>>6042582meow
>>6041220>>6041268So I did do it and it kinda messed up the sound around 0:49 by cutting out that bass really bad. So the sidechaining I might have to find a way to do intermittently. Or just copy the instrument to a different version for that part. How necessary do you think sidechaining is?>and maybe making the verb a bit dryer.Maybe I will just try removing it entirely for a bit.
