Recap of our Summer '25 performance:
In 6 months, the wiseguys of /wsg/ had went from carrying the trophy and earning a star to barely scraping by the group stage in a tie against /tv/. The management had felt that this was not the level of performance that the players were capable of, and decided to overhaul the strategy away from their typical interest in silver wing forwards/midfielders. The 2025 Summer Cup rolled around and /wsg/ found themselves matched up against /an/, /his/, and /lit/. This was a rematch that one of the managers was especially excited for given that it was their first loss since beginning their involvement with /wsg/ as a tester, as /wsg/ fell in a 1-3 loss in the 2023 Summer Cup. Now, 2 years later, /wsg/ opened up with a comfortable 2 goal win against the animals of /an/ and demonstrated the abilities of their defense. However, the historians of /his/ were able to read between the lines of the /wsg/ backline and surgically tore it apart to lock in a 5-2 loss for wussug. Needing a win, /wsg/ found themselves in a draw from a late Pinecone goal at 78'. Needing a miracle for promotion, /wsg/ pushed everybody to attack, You Should Kill Yourself... Now! was able to find a surging Gondola, and the comfy lil' guy slotted a shot into the back of the net at 90+3' to bring the score to 2-1. /wsg/ had once more promoted on a desperation goal at the last minute which made commentators and analysts concerned for their success in the knockouts, but the team pressed forward.

/wsg/ found themselves matched up against a dominant /biz/ in a rematch of the 4-0 opener for the 2025 Winter Cup and debut of Synthwave Sunset Stadium. The businessmen of /biz/ snibbed /wsg/ early on to go up 2-0 by 9' into the match and defended well against an eventual surge of a /wsg/ attack. Despite the offense's efforts, /biz/ walked away with a dominant 3-0 victory and sent /wsg/ packing in the Round of 16 for the 4nd time in their last 6 cups. Despite their frustrations, /wsg/ can take some pride in currently having the longest consecutive promotion streak at 7 cups as well as having their last 3 losses against the current top 3 ranked teams (#2 /sp/, #1 /his/, and #3 /biz/). The wiseguys have identified and addressed some issues with the team and now look to the 2026 Winter Cup focused solely on doing whatever it takes to earn the second star.

My opinions on the current roster:
To Be Continued - Despite being an outdated meme, TBC stepped up to fill the empty GK position. TBC is the first player on the team to play in the outfield and in the net.
Sensible Chuckle - The classic gif used all across 4chan to display mild enjoyment and appreciation of other anons posts, another claim we've staked and maintained for almost as long as the team has been a thing. Keep.
Why Are You Gay? - Who says I'm gay? You are gay. Has been languishing on the backline for years now. Remove.
WASTED - Ancient meme that got voted back on to the team after a single tournament retirement, again via a tiebreaker. I think its time to let him go for real this time.
Did He Died? - To this day it's still a classic reply to ANY rekt image be it a puppy falling over or actual fucking gore, this is prime 4chan real estate that we've reclaimed and I hope we can keep it that way. Promote to silver.
WTF Is This Real? - A dancing cat, how? Keep, silver candidate imo.
MULTI-TRACK LISTENING - Not really much to say about this player but I believe it's one of the only original memes of /wsg/ on the team, which is probably why you guys vote it so high, also who doesn't like eurobeat? Promote to silver.
Chinese Steel Worker - Somehow survives the worksite only to be killed by a rogue truck tire while on break. Keep as silver.
You Should Kill Yourself… Now! - If LTG's momentum continues he may ascend to gold medal status, I MEAN THAT WITH 100%, WITH 1000%!
Gondola - /int/ has finally allowed us to share him within concurrent cups since we gave our Gondola a comfy pom-pom hat and scarf, keep as some sort of medal, currently a gold.
Ricardo Milos - Our captain, still widely posted. Keep as gold.

The "Burger" King - You know, the guy on the plane who called that nigger bitch a nigger. Scored a goal in the infamous match vs. /w/ despite being a DMF. Keep.
Thirst Impact - More than just some anime rep, but an actual meme! Will the 4CC continue to have a Misato player? God willing!
Obligatory 9/11 Thread - We did it we recruited the actual twin towers to play for the team and they definitely made an impact on the team, winning the Best Model award at one point. Keep.

To help remove status quo bias and encourage higher roster turnover, we've decided to list the current and potential new players together in alphabetical order and reword the questions to further obfuscate who is currently a member of the team and who is not, of course you may still look at our current roster status above or on our wikipage for reference if you'd like.

We would also like to pose a question regarding the captaincy of the team.
