I go out Saturdays even if I'm alone just to practice talking to people and getting to know my new town, and asking coworkers to introduce me to their friends. They planned a clubbing party with some women they know after Easter, I can't dance but I'll learn!
Also I can give my number away to anyone I want with the excuse that I'm an IT guy they can contact whenever they need to but that sounds like it could backfire very easily so maybe not.

I've tried bars and one of those awkward "there's a band in a sound proof room downstairs with 30 people in it bobbing up and down to very loud live music" places, all venues that local people have suggested me. No luck meeting any girl but I talked here and there and I'm putting an effort to be less of an autist, it's working out so far I think it's only a matter of time, this job makes me encounter all sorts of people.

I'm open to suggestions for places I can check out besides bars, but it'll be months before I report back since I can only really go out on Saturdays.

Look for co-ed sports, a class of anything you're interested (art, cooking, dancing), and book stores. I've found pretty cool hidden gem type girls in those spots. Bars will usually be with girls with a ton of baggage, but can be cool if you enjoy it. Best of luck, anon!

Not sure where you're at, but if there's one near you, a swing dancing club or some other partner dancing club is a solid option. Prerequisite is obviously knowing how to dance, but you can take a couple classes and figure the rest out

Bros, a few years ago I saved a webm from a motivation thread and I Lost, but I want it back so bad.
