Trying to install and get Black & White working on Windows 10 but I'm running into issues.First version I tried was a fucked up on torrent where the installer was in some language that couldn't display correctly, it installed fine but the game had zero sound at all but the in game text was in English.Second try I got the proper files in English but I can't seem to remove the first install at all via any standard method, I seem to have broken it and it gives me an error which I think is it telling me that it can't find the uninstall files to remove it. This second copy now thinks the game is installed so I can't install it again, but I can't remove it either so it's in a weird limbo state.I'm stuck, I don't know what to do and the text is fucked up on the first install so I don't even know what it's saying for anything. Anyone got advice? If nothing else I'd like to completely remove that first install somehow, that would help.

According to one of the posts you are supposed to install the creature island then patches and only then optional addons/mods. Actually rip version might mean that files are already extracted and installed in a folder, try downloading the rip version from oldgames link I posted or from myabandonware.

Tried running the "runblack" file since that seemed like the most likely candidate for making the game run but it just tried to run something and failed.

>>1541972I tried the game and runblack.exe ran it for me. I'm on linux though. you are probably missing some dependency. you have to have directx7 from what I'm gathering from the readme. it seems like you have to run the setup.bat file and might take things care for you though. so try setup.bat

The other problem I noticed is that the game seemed to be running fast, maybe about 2x normal speed from casual observation, it didn't have that problem with the other version that had no sound.I don't have time to test further tonight, but hey big progress.
