Looking for a very specific archetype of character:the only definite examples I can think of are Liet Kynes from Dune(book) and Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park(movie(the first one)).basically a cool scientist guy who doesn't adhere to typical "scientist" character tropes and whose expertise gives them a better perspective on what's really going on than most of the other characters, especially if there's an ecological/environmentalist angle. bonus points if their wisdom not being heeded ends in tragedy.can be from any media
