It won't kill the cats. The rotation is in the horizontal way, so the round entrance stays open ALL the time. Even if there's a problem with the sensors and starts rotating with a cat inside, the cat can jump out easily and safely.About the "STUCK" part: it doesn't seem mecanical, cause the white light above the garbage button keeps flashing, and the litter doesn't even try to rotate, don't matter if I command in the app. I think it's a eletronic part with the problem...
take the drum off and clean the sensors in the base.
