Hey there! I hope this is the right place; I wanted to post in /g/ first, but after reading the rules I think this board is betterIn short: I want to get into C# programming, but I'm stumped as to where to start; it seems like Visual Studio got updated and the most popular guides/courses on yt are not up-to-date; if you guys can point me towards any resources to get me started I'd appreciate itLastly, sorry if this isn't the place for this; I considered going to reddit, but I don't want to make accounts and logins and allllll that crap — thanks for reading if you got this far!
Hey man. Youtube tutorials don’t matter. You can use whatever version of Visual Studio you want. You can even download older versions of Visual Studios if you prefer. Developers often do that for compatibility reasons. If I may make a recommendation, it would be the book Starting Out With Visual C# by Tony Gaddis. I highly recommend this for beginners, as the book is very easy to understand and has very good examples. My recommended learning method is to follow along with the examples, and then at the end of each section try to do your own little mini projects that use what you learned in some way to solidify your understanding.
And you can find the book for free either on Anna’s Archive or just searching “book title pdf download free”
