Alright, my HP laptop died the other day when I was trying to put in a new battery. Can't seem to receive electricity which means I'm pretty sure the motherboard is fucked. Anyway, I'm done being an Hue-lett-Packtard, what are some good laptop brands in your opinion? Also, if anyone knows of a way to hook a HDD to a desktop without reformatting it, that'd be swell.

Pop the drive out, look if it's SATA shit or M2 shit, then buy a usb drive enclosure for it off Amazon
You don't need to reformat it, it has a format. Though it's problematic if you chose to encrypt it

I plugged it in directly to the wall sans the battery, no indicator light. Bought a new battery off Amazon, installed it, no indicator light.
