My account got flagged on youtube for using adblockers. now whenever an ad would play on a video, it instead is
"Video unavailable
This content isn't available, try again later"
i've tried changing my adblockers around, but the baseline youtube has me flagged anyways. Revanced still works flawlessly for the same account, but it is designed to be used with a mobile layout, and doesn't translate to desktop very easily
i'm using linux so would prefer those formats, but i can use wine if i need to
ideally, there would be a website that works like youtube, but hosts any video from anywhere on the internet (i think in the past bing video tab used to work like that, but its format was terrible)
thanks!

oh also: i mostly use youtube just to listen to music - i would just pirate the music directly, but i listen to a lot of stuff that isn't available anywhere else (400 view brazillians and shit like that)

yt-dlp the audio?

good advice, but it's a bit of a pain still because downloads won't let me use the search feature, and i'm always looking up new songs for bands and projects that i follow. being able to look things up and add them to a playlist while listening is a pretty key feature

try invidious.io
it's still surviving, albeit barely ;(
>>

wow! that's almost exactly what i was looking for! thanks anon!
its UI is a little bad - like, no shuffle feature for playlists, but otherwise does pretty much exactly what i was asking

ok invidious set me on the right track. i doubt this will be archived or that anyone is following it, but if anyone is curious what i landed on
https://freetubeapp.io/
mostly because it's more resilient
the key word was "front end alternative" when it came to looking for all the options

Looked promising but Youtube pretty much blocks most play attempts:
>[BAD_HTTP_STATUS: 403] Potential causes: IP block or streaming URL deciphering failed
