This sounds stupid, but it's totally social media's fault...
How do I post on Reddit, for instance?

I sometimes need to reach some community or some particular person on social, but when I post, I get filtered, shadowbanned or something else.
What gives? Why is it so hard to upload a picture on text on modern website?
>>
>this post was removed by reddit's filters
>no explanation why or what I could do better

Twitter was a similar experience but even worse. I posted for weeks without realizing nobody else was seeing my posts. I was locked in a sandbox

These sites are extremely used to spammers coming in with hit-and-run posts. Some of these places might just be majority spam if the site operators weren't willing to institute draconian anti-spam measures. If you wander in and try to post some announcement that you think is important to you, they just pattern match you with a spammer.

Have you considered contacting the moderators of this subreddit and asking them to allow you to post?

OP here again.

Day 2 and I get this. What the absolute fuck is wrong with social media these days

Aava Superapp (Reddit clone) works just fine for me. I'm not the problem here, the sites are.

I remember when people loved Reddit
>woow it's so handy to have all communities in one place!

Now it's a clusterfuck with gatekeeping, ads, algorithms etc.
so first Reddit destroys individual phpBB communities so they could be under one roof. then they just wreck the platform and all the communities are inaccessible
this is why centralization is a bad idea
>>
>make post
>AUTOMATICALLY FILTERED

>post picture
>PICTURE AUTOMATICALLY DELETED

I think most social media platforms require you to have a substantial amount of pre-existing posts, upvotes, time on the site etc. before they allow you to post something that is visible to others

It's ridiculous and partly why imageboards are so great. Everyone has a voice here

You have to make comments and get epic updoots to get karma vro

it's full of bots, spammers, and absolute morons who cannot tell who the bots and spammers are.
