Please read my document I'm deeperate for help :'c https://pastes.io/svt-caused-me-agoraphobia-84728
Exppsure therapy. Meditation. Try some meme diet like the carnivore diet.
>>1546260 Right now I can't eat heavy meats because last year I was diagnosed with Helicobacter Pylori, and both the bacteria and the treatment left my stomach in shambles. As for exposure therapy, I try too hard to expose myself to the tachycardias, and I simply can't handle them. They destroy me physically and mentally. But of course I keep trying, and now even more so with the psychiatric treatment I'm receiving, since I'm a little more able to get out.
>>1546253Hey fren, I have social anxiety. And anxiety driving. I like these healing crystals on amazon and nicotine gum. The crystals especially the amethyst just feel cool, there's soft and rough edges that you can fidget with and take your mind off things. Low dose nicotine in the form of a gum has almost no downsides and if you don't like it, you spit it out. That's been a huge boost for me especially driving in construction with narrow lanes, bad weather, bad drivers or going over bridges esp at night time. I'm assuming you have fixed your SVT permanently and are dealing with psychological symptoms now, if not please get that fixed.Hope this helps.
>>1546563 Hi, thank you so much for your response. I've considered taking cannabis gummies, but I need to ask my psychiatrist first. Regarding my heart, that's what's triggered my anxiety because I've had several tests done after the SVTs, and they've all come back clear. That's what's so scary about me—not knowing what exactly triggers them. I panic on the street, thinking I'll get one again.
>>1546742I can't recommend cannabis to anyone after being a psych nurse and seeing first hand people have new and long lasting psychosis from it.
>>1546744I still don't understand how cannabis fixes peoples' anxiety. I have OCD and depression with some anxiety in the mix and I only rarely use it just to get high with. Hell, even when the edibles kick it's really unnerving and have to ride out the time dilation till it normalizesAnyway OP, gabapentin is a GODSEND for anxiety, but look up side effects. Taking too much can get you loopy but also high as balls
>>1546752Just a follow up, try to keep it as needed if you request it, daily gabapentin isn't the best for you in the long term. It keeps the edge intact when you only use it for acute episodes. In the US at least (except in a few states) it's unscheduled but Rx only, but if you go in guns blazing asking for daily gabapentin your provider might think you're drug seeking
>>1546563>>1546755Also sorry for the zillionth samefag, but something similar to the crystals that helps me is coins. I love coins and numismatics more than you could possibly believe, and I'll bring a coin to work daily and fidget with it. I'll spin it, grip it by its edges, ping it (unique tone that silver coins make), etc. Right now I have a few Mexican 8 reales and a Morgan Dollar in my pocket. Silver's always a good investment too and you can sell it if you don't get too emotionally attached (I do lol)
>>1546752makes you too tired and goofed up to think about shit that bothers you OR it makes you hyper focused and paranoid and makes your anxiety worse lmao>>1546755gabapentin they put almost everyone on nowadays including muscle relaxers like tizanidine, they don't want people on xanax, sleeping pills or opiate pain pills like the old days - you might be lucky and get some Ultram if you tweak your knee and say ibuprofen isn't enough my pain is an 8/10
