What can I do to fix my complete lack of energy, mental clarity, and memory? I can't even recall what all I've tried to fix this issue over the past decade. I struggle to even remember what I ate this morning and when I walk into a room I forget what I walked in there. One of the few things I haven't tried is fixing sleep apnea but I don't have a job or insurance and I live in burgerland with no social safety nets.
>>1546350eat well and exercise
>>1546377This. Eat much more meat and much fewer carbs.
Things at least moved me in the right trajectory>quit weed/alcohol>being hyper aware physically/mentally and honest with myself, my addictions, excuses...>break cycle of doom scrolling more often with activities that reward dopamine thru effort like piano and structured journalingI try to make some of these part of my identity and not just coping tactics. I'm also unemployed with no insurance so it's a steep uphill battle trying to make structure. I lost 3 jobs this year but I know what I can tolerate now, I'm privileged to even have this decision and not take bottom of the barrel jobs but also I would've done something drastic likely if I stayed at them (already did kinda, overdose/DUI)
>>1546378What's a cheap way to eat meat? Ground beef near me is 9 USD a pound unfortunately.
>>1546459Offals are cheaper and more nutrient dense.
your sleep apnea is probably why you can't remember shit and have no energy.>>1546459literally go to the store and see what's the cheapest per pound. it's usually chicken or pork.

>>1546412>quit weed/alcoholInteresting. I tend to benefit waaay more from increasing alcohol than reducing it. Then again, I almost never drink anything harder than beer, which many people don't even seem to consider worth mentioning as alcohol.

>>1546459canned fish and corned beef ig, you can also buy stuff from your local farmer's market if millennial hipsters didn't rise the prices where you live

>>1546459Buy eggs then. Maybe one Farmer will sell you raw Milk which is very cheap and has lotta nutrients.
>>1546350Eat Animal(ruminant animals are best) products (meat, organs, eggs, raw milk) as raw as possible they contain all nutrients you will ever need. Avoid plants since most has toxic compounds(antinutrients) for humans and lacks necessary nutrients. Fruits are the only thing you could eat from a plant but you have to becareful to not consume too much sugar since most fruits in nature are much different than what we find in store today. Read ingredients buy food with least igredients. Cut out every junk food.

Can I become more energetic if I lose weight, improve my diet and start exercising? I'm in my early 30s.
>>1546459You could get cheaper cuts like tough beef used for stews and then use this technique to make them in to a steak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26j4Uu0c6Jkliver is also another great extremely cheap cut that works well with a lot of dishes.>>1547346Maybe you should watch I used to be fat it's a really motivating show. >>1546350There are exercises specifically aimed at treating sleep apnea. They will take a while, but they work.https://www.sleepfoundation.org/snoring/mouth-exercises-to-stop-snoringhttps://www.sleepcareonline.com/articles/exercises-to-reduce-sleep-apnea/Also, if you spend a lot of unnecessary time in front of a screen, reduce it. It lowers the quality of your sleep and makes your neck and overall posture worse, both of which factor into sleep apnea.Change your diet to something lighter and try fasting a few days every month. Some people sleep better with some incline, some sleep better without a mattress. Experiment.Exercise and drink a ton of water like the other anons said. Don't just workout randomly. Keep tabs, designate certain days and check your progress. If you masturbate, quit. Your brain is made of the same stuff that comes out of your dick, so it either goes one way or the other. Spending a lot of time looking at porn is also scientifically proven to lower your capacity for high-level spatial thought and general performance so it's a good idea to stop that.Other activities that deliver large amounts of dopamine without effort should be similarly avoided, like mindlessly scrolling social media.Boredom is precious. Use it to push yourself to do something constructive, something you love.I would say find God, but the truth is if you do good, God will find you, so do your best and God be with you

>>1546350>but I don't have a jobThen get one, loser.
>>1546350One, this belongs to /adv/, not /wsr/, sir newbie. Lurk more next time before posting. Two, check this shit out:>a brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM), which is a tangled mass of abnormal blood vessels where arteries connect directly to veins, bypassing the normal, smaller capillaries.I had all the same traits as you, i also was chronically tired to the bone and nothing helped, not even antidepressants could fully fix it. Plus, in my case, migraine episodes as an added bonus, real bad focus, blah blah.Turned out from when I was a fetus, I had developed AVM and was not diagnosed until i was almost 30. I only finally got it diagnosed cuz it had recently developed into seizures, something i never had in my life before. Once they cut the AVM out, and my brain healed after surgery, all the issues you described went away for me. I kept wondering why basic generic advice of "eat well, anon. Exercise!!" never worked, and it turns out it was something that could only be fixed by surgery, that is why. It also cured insomnia for me, chronic nightmares went away, focus and other cognitive skills improved, better mood regulation, my mother claims my drawings look different but i don't believe her. I don't get visual floaters anymore, no more migraines, i have significantly more energy now (but I also had to take vitamin D and B12+calc supplements, prescribed by doc, for a year, that was part of my mental fatigue/fog). I also had scary levels of poor memory issues but now my memory has drastically improved ever since I had my brain surgery. As mentioned prior, my D and B12 was severally malnourished, those lead to severe memory issues too, and taking supplements helped me a bit, yeah, but I had fixed my vitamin defficiency a few months before the brain surgery. So brain surgery made the biggest leaps for improving my memory and mental fog. Also get a job, loser. Structure/routine gives energy. I've not had job for 3 weeks and I feel ass too.
