My old laptop just gave up after a series of weird bugs — random BSODs, keyboard pressing itself, backlight flickering, all that fun stuff.I urgently need a new Windows laptop for my university lab work (computer science + electronics). It has to be powerful enough to run virtual machines and simulation software smoothly, but I don’t care about gaming or looks — just something durable and stable that won’t break after a year.Any recommendations for solid models or brands?
>>1547057Get a ThinkPad. You can find second hand ones from ~2016 that still handle like a dream for less than half the price. You can get a more recent version if you don't care about money though. You can customize them a lot more than your typical laptops, and they're very user friendly. The one I use is 10 years old, and still runs smoothly.
