Coding a social media site from scratch, part million. I think I'm done editing the way the site looks. It's time to focus on how it functions and what it offers to the (non-existent) user.

The current plan is this:
>site is completely non-profit: no ads, no cookies, no behavioral data collection
>strict moderation policies: ad hominem, trolling, mocking others etc. results in a ban. why? because I'm sick of idiots raising my blood pressure for their own amusement when I ask advice online
>no algorithm, no recommendations, no upvotes, no endless scroll - everyone sees the same content
>long and intelligent posts with quality content are favored over brainrot
>AI slop gets removed because it's not even actual content really

I chose these features not just because that's what I personally like but because no other site offers this. Every social media site is more or less the same. They try to make money so they encourage people to fight each other because it keeps them on the site for a longer time.
Does this make sense to you? What would you change?
>>
Also I sort of wanna change the name of the site from Aava to something that foreigners understand as well.
Like
>Tribe
But it's taken. Every good name is taken.

Imho, there is a gap in the market for forum software. All of the actively-maintained ones are heavily commercialized and php-based. Stuff like discourse especially tries to push really strange paradigms.

I honestly think a well-made forum software with the popular meme language like python, ruby, js, go, rust, etc. can literally overtake the market.
>>
You're forgetting the "demand":
>no other site offers this.
Maybe for lack of consumers?

>What would you change?
Would learn market dynamics.

It's true, people these days don't give a rat's ass about their data getting stolen, the whole world running on ad targeting, and children getting their IQ's lowered by brainrot.
They should care about this, but for some reason they don't.

I may be schizo, but I can literally see the future: Tiktok has degenerated an entire generation of people and everyone is a drooling, narcissistic moron who expects life to have a button that they can mash for dopamine, attention and validation.
To me it's insane that this is legal.

What's wrong with PHP? Every time I use an imageboard with modern frameworks, it just feels slow and keeps loading all the time.
PHP has server-side rendering which is very nice for the user.
>>
Feature list seems reasonable, just be prepared to not have a lot of users because most people are normalfags addicted on algorithms nowadays
>Every good name is taken
Go for a corny name then

>What's wrong with PHP?
Once in a while someone finds an exploit in your code that leaks everything; it's quite hard to get it fully secured, especially if you're dealing with user accounts and sensitive info

And lastly,
>the padding actually looks alright
Good job!
>>
>>1547155
Are you the padding guy?
>>
>>1547159
I'm just going to say the left menu still needs a bit more horizontal padding but the thread panels are good
>>
Maybe it would be a good idea to make a file dump like Imgur.

You can actually monetize that kind of sites
