I got this calligraphy from my Japanese grandfather when he passed away and was wondering what it said. Tried a few translation apps but since it’s hand painted it has trouble getting the characters. I know one of the lines is roughly “things are limited” and it’s all Kanji no hiragana, thanks yall >inb4 sucky sucky 2 dollar
First two lines should be妻が眼とつむり夫が耳とふこぐときCan't make out the last line
>>1547156Thanks so much
I can't read the last lines either, but>>1547156>眼とつむり>耳とふこぐare>眼をつむりand >耳をふさぐ
>>1547247That makes more sense lol, I was assuming it's some archaic usage of と or something
