/wsr/, I come to you in my time of need. I woke up in a fever dream remembering that I watched an obscure anime when I was younger, and I can't for the life of me remember the name. Here's all I can remember...>Before 2015 at least, maybe even 2011?>VERY short - maybe an OVA? I swear it was only 3 regular length episodes>I think the protagonist was male>I found the anime because of its soundtrack/ost, which I thought was amazing>Maybe fantasy/isekai genre? Take with a grain of saltPic possibly related. I swear I found the anime because of a video I watched where the thumbnail/image was gen 3 Pokemon overworld (FR/LG?) and played a song from the anime. I could have hallucinated this, it might be a red herring. I just tried to provide everything I could. I'll be eternally grateful if one anon is able to discern whatever half awake me is remembering...
Bump. I'm still not sure if I dreamt this memory entirely, but the dream was more like reminding me that I experienced it at some point, moreso than that I dreamt that it happened at all.
i'll just list some possible stuff from my kitsu libraryLe Portrait de Petit CossetteGenius Party / Genius Party BeyondSakura Wars OVAsBirdy the MightyCencorollDenpa-teki na KanojoHotori: Tada Saiwai wo KoinegauPerhaps something from Sweat Punch or Short Peacewhat did the soundtrack sound like? orchestral or something else?
>>1548315>was gen 3 Pokemon overworld (FR/LG?) and played a song from the anime. This is probably the only real info.I specifically remember a few music videos of a Pokemon scenery with Gen 3 details but Gen 2 colors.Like pic related.
>>1548411I will check out some of these!>>1548418Looking back on my foggy memory, I wonder if it was actuslly R/S/E. I think the video my dream reminded me of watching was of the overworld in the rain, which I don't remember if FR/LG had rain cycles, but it could have been an edit. I was pretty sure it was just a screenshot. The more I think about this, the more I think it was genuinely a hallucination a dream gaslit me into believing actually happened. I'm going to see if I can find some reputable lists of anime with very short episode counts. There's probably a lot so listening to all the soundtracks exhaustively would be impossible. I've just been hoping I saw an anime title that immediately jogged my memory or something...
>>1548446If you remember the melody there might be an app for your phone to search for music or melodies picked up by the mic.
