This just happened to me.>turn on windows computer>folder app is open (minimized)>cursor is a pinwheel, left clicking doesn't do anything>screen turns black>screen stops being black>folders app is now closedI'm scared that my computer was being remote-accessed. What was going on?
Holy shit that's scary...hope someone can tell you how to check if you have remote access on your computer...I've already been investigated for my online political posts, so I assume I'm constantly being monitored.
>>1551177I'll tell you exactly what happened, explorer.exe (taskbar, desktop, and file manager) fucking crashed like it always does. When the process locks up the cursor will have the spinning animation and clicking won't work on any of those three components. If you spam click/if enough time passes the system will eventually kill and restart it.I know because I've had this issue since Vista where the thumbnailing service or whatever gets cooked and causes explorer.exe to frequently stop thumbnailing properly/lag/hang/crash. At least nowadays they have more stuff in place to detect a hang/crash and bring it back up. I'm going through this shit even now on W10, fucking shitass Indian software. Praying hard that the Windows 11 anti-adoption push finally brings about TYOTLD but I'm not holding my breath..
