looking for an anime, ill paste what I wrote somewhere else here,

a hostage is taken and the hostage frees herself

the person ordering the hostage may have been a prince, not sure, I just seen a one minute short a while ago showing this scene and now its bugging me, I think it was an anime within the last 10 years, any ideas? I believe they were in an arena of sorts I think underground.
