I bought a new gaming laptop (Asus Tuf A16) with 32 GB ram. The label on the package saysMemory: 16GB DDR5 + 16 GB DDR5[R]Did I get scammed? Is this like virtual ram and essentially useless? I tried looking it up and google sucks ass now so not sure if these two ram sticks are the same thing. Thanks anons.
>>1551884Just noticed my 1 TB storage came split into two 512 GB instead. Is this normal? This sounds like ass what happens if I download a game that maxed out one SSD and poured into the other?
>>1551884it looks like the [R] means it's soldered into place so not upgradable (but results in a thinner form factor and lower power consumption). another word for this is LPDDR5 (low-power DDR5), in all other respects it would be the same. Can't help you with the SSD though.
>>1551888With RAM being in two parts an important question will be if it's dual channel tho.Sounds like they are two different types of bars, so maybe are, maybe aren't.Maybe check the manual, OP.
