So, I might have the ultimate head scratcher for you guys. First off I do not have the problem when using my tablet over the same connection. Everything works fine with that. Now then, I cannot log in to or download videos from hanime.tv. In the developer tools console it's returning back client side unauthorized errors. It does the same thing on every browser. Just to ensure it's not the router doing something funny I bypassed that and hooked directly to the cable modem. Same thing. Now here's where it gets weird... To see if it's something wrong with the OS I booted into a USB thumb drive install of Anti-X Linux I was using on an old netbook. Completely different OS, of course it'll work, right? WRONG! Same error on Linux. As far as I know every other piece of the internet I look at works fine. I just can't do this. It has to be hardware, right? But how? Everything else works. How does a hardware issue result in such a specific problem?Any ideas for a solution? I'm thinking I have to shell out for an ethernet controller/wifi card, right? What else could it be?
>>1552398Follow up bits:Yes, I have tried a different ethernet cable. Also, I just booted up the old netbook and went to hanime.tv on the same install I tested on the PC. It works fine on the netbook.
So to be clear, you have actually used your pc/laptop or whatever the problematic device is and connected it DIRECTLY to the modem by lan and tested the login with a bootable version of Linux? If that doesn't work then I doubt even another internet adapter would work because Lan/wifi are two separate devices and if both don't work I doubt any other will and I'm assuming that device had both to test on.
>>1552424The netbook worked. The PC did not. This was using the same flash drive install of Linux on both devices. I only used the wifi on the netbook and only wired on the PC, though. I guess I could connect the netbook via wired connection and test that..
