Need any media wherein somebody betrays somebody they care about very dearly for their own good.Like, the betrayed party is either unable or unwilling to know or see what is objectively in their own interest, so the traitor has to betray their trust to do what they feel is right for them.Bilbo betraying Thorin in the third Hobbit movie is the only example I can recall. I know that movie sucks, but this type of dilemma is so relatable and important to me.
