how similar do they have to be?
I'm not familiar with those games, but If you are fine with turn based strategy games and just want fantasy style stuff, there's battle for wesnoth which is free.

Looks interesting thank you, I'm a big fan of making my own characters and sending them on adventures where there's a bit more strategy than standard turn based combat. Wartales is very much a medieval Xcom type game.
