I have the suspiction that I have a brain tumor or a brain problem. I know this sounds dumb, but since the half of the previous year I have had these symptoms that I have not had before:>stuttering or having trouble to talk and form sentences>headaches with no apparent reason on random moments of the day>cognitive problems like forgetting things>just recently my right half (arm + leg) was feeling "sleepy" and I had trouble to move my hand when I was using my computer mouse, I thought my pc was being erratic and then I realized it was my hand not moving properly>sudden mood changes>feeling heavy in the head or "sleepy"I asked my mother to check me in a doctor for the suspictions but she insist it is nothing and encourages me to wait for an appointment I have in like 40 days from now on to ask for it. I went to my family doctor (I am in Europe), and she said that they couldn't check that stuff there.Someone that knows about this can tell me if I am being paranoid or what causes these symptoms? I want to go to a doctor but I would need to convince my mother and she is very adamant about it. On a side note, my mother's mother had a brain tumor, but she was already like 80 yo. Idk if that matters but I will tell it anyway.
>>1559832Drink more water.
>>1559834Okay.
>>1559832>appointment I have in like 40 days from now onIs this a general check-up? Because if so, they will probably tell you the same as your general practitioner. All these symptoms are associated with brain issues, but the cause can be anything from "stress" to "wallnut-sized malignant tumor" to "psychogenic disease"You won't know until they actually check your brain, so yes, I'd ask the doctors to take scans, if possible in your situation. You probably won't convince your mother with "Mum I might have a brain tumor, but maybe it's all in my head (if you catch my drif)"
>>1559837>I'd ask the doctors to take scans,Thanks. I will try to. The worst that can happen is them telling me that I have to ask other doctor elsewhere or ask for an appointment again. Here in my part of Europe medical appointments are put months after you asked for them and I imagine that if it is something beyond stress, it would be good to try and discover it soon.
>I asked my mother to check me in a doctoryou're over 18, you don't need her permission.
>>1559844I am over 18 but I still live with my mother. But yeah I should look it up myself somehow.
>>1559832Well I'm no doctor or anything, but the headaches could be due to low blood pressure, the pins and needles sensation on limbs can be due to poor circulation or a pinched nerve (did you get a new chair or change your sitting posture recently?). Everything else can be garden variety psychological stuff like stress, depression, or ADHD, or hormonal issues.Human memory is generally terrible (eyewitness testimony is some of the least reliable evidence in court), so forgetting things is not rare, it's just that normies usually don't notice that they forget.Tumors can manifest differently depending on exactly where they are located in the brain. Not every tumor will cause symptoms, and not every symptomatic tumor will cause psychological symptoms. Some patients can look perfectly for decades and then degrade rapidly and die in the span of three months. So yeah, you having a brain tumor is unlikely, and the symptoms you described seem to suggest something else. Going to a doctor probably won't hurt, though. I guess you could ask for an EEG if it makes you feel better.
>>1559832>>stuttering or having trouble to talk and form sentences>>headaches with no apparent reason on random moments of the day>>cognitive problems like forgetting things>>just recently my right half (arm + leg) was feeling "sleepy" and I had trouble to move my hand when I was using my computer mouse, I thought my pc was being erratic and then I realized it was my hand not moving properly>>sudden mood changes>>feeling heavy in the head or "sleepy"yeah those could be a sign of something. It depends on how significant they are.Like how severe is "stuttering or having trouble to talk and form sentences" for you?Mild forgetfullness is one thing but if it starts getting serious its a sign of a deeper issue. If they were never there before at all, it might be a sign of some issue. Get checked out
>>1559832>Someone that knows about this can tell me if I am being paranoid or what causes these symptoms? I want to go to a doctor but I would need to convince my mother and she is very adamant about it.I forgot to answer this, but it doesn't sound like you are being paranoid. It's extremely unlikely that anyone on here would be able to tell you the cause of those symptoms. most people on 4chan aren't medical experts.
>>1559878>most people on 4chan aren't medical experts.Even if we were, you cannot give valid online diagnoses. Even the symptoms he described could have many different causes, from low blood pressure over somthing actually brain located which still does not have to be a tumor, could also be a latent stroke for example or an infection or or or..., to there being nothing and it all just being autosuggestive in his mind, I still vividly rememebr from the corona period HOW MUCH the psyche can play tricks on you.Without an actual real check there is no way to tell what he might have.
>>1559832>Eat stuff with more fiber / green vegetables >If you eat lots of salty shit reduce sodium>Drink water>Open a window / Walk outside in case you're breathing stale air>Stop drinking alcohol / Smoking>Stand up more>Go to the doctorhopital
Don't worry about it, just write down your issues and show the list of issues to your doctor when you have your appointment.I thought I had a brain tumor because I get tingling in my hands, scintillating scotoma, anisocoria, occasional slurred speech.Got an MRI, saw two different neurologists, they all said my brain is perfectly healthy.Sometimes your body just does weird shit. It happens as you get older. Just continue to keep an eye on it, and tell your doctor everything that concerns you.I recommend avoiding caffeine, by the way. Caffeine fucked me up so bad. Difficulty focusing, tiredness, irritability, tingling, hunger. I hate caffeine so fucking much man.
>>1559847what does living with your mother have to do with anythingyou can still go to the doctor by yourself, you're an adult for christ sake
>>1559832A lot of anons have said very useful things in this thread but I'd check with a doctor to get some thyroid and blood tests done, maybe you've got hypo or hyperthyroidism. Might explain the brain fog and weird feelings on your body.
>>1559832is there any way you can see a doctor (preferably a neurologist) without your mother?i think the obvious thing is to get an MRI, just to rule out a brain tumor, then you can rest easy
>>1559832it's probably nothing but it might be something. that's the whole point of seeing a doctor, so you can get a clearer answer on that. you might even want to see two or three if one brushes you off. if you genuinely think something's wrong, be your own advocate, everyone else has an agenda. at least get as far as getting some sort of scan done.
>>1559832A general doctor won't be able to do much except filter you and maybe refer you to a neurologist. That's where you'll get MRI's or CT scans. Getting those scans takes time too so be prepared to wait possibly for a long time. Advice is to be prepared to go on a short list in which you literally hang out in the hospital or facility where the machine resides for the day (can take multiple days) waiting for a no show slot where you basically jump the queue due to short notice filling the time slot kind of thing. If you get inner ear issues like tinnitus, vertigo (both are horrible stuff) and/or balance and mobility issues then you will get bumped up in severity. But this could mean your issues are inner ear related and not brain related which means you need an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) doc instead of a neurologist. So back to waiting forever...ENTs might just not even see you too depending on your symptoms. I hate ENTs, but liked my neurologist. Do you get aura migraines? Look that up. They're not painful but they can temporarily cause vision problems (kaleidoscope like patterns of color and pulsating patterns and lack of central focus of your eyes for like 30 or so minutes). Anyhow, doesn't hurt to see a doc for sure. But don't get your hopes up that they can do anything for you. They'll probably just say you have anxiety and label you as someone making it up. It's not a broken arm or leg or something they can visually see and fix so they tend to not know what to do and instead make you feel like shit about your problems. They may put you on medication that can be worse than the initial symptoms you suffer from.
>>1559832>>stuttering or having trouble to talk and form sentences>>headaches with no apparent reason on random moments of the day>>cognitive problems like forgetting things>>sudden mood changes>>feeling heavy in the head or "sleepy"i've always had these, i woudnt worry abo
>>1559832Hey, now that I think about it, it kinda sounds like narcolepsy a little bit, anon. I'm suspecting I could have it or it's just the ADHD, but I tend to feel sleepy, dizzy, and have absolutely shitty short term memory. And sometimes stutter when talking.Maybe you're not sleeping correctly and this is causing it.
>>1559832Could be anxiety or some neurological problem.
>>1560713Shut up boomer, this is a mommy's boy website.
>>1559832could be anything really i would just start with blood tests + ct scan of ur head which is probably what your doctor will order.
>>1559832did you have the flu recently by any chance? i got the flu and this shit started happening to me right after that. probably a new bioweapon.
Okay this is getting serious as fuck. I am having writing/motor problems with my hands and also dyslexic synthoms like being unable to read properly or concentrate and the headaches are getting fucky
