Infinite zoomable canvas where anyone can post. No feeds, no likes, no followers. You just scroll around and find what people left behind. I could use some feedback.

Shouldn't you have a report feature?
Someone will probably post CP one day because they're fucked. So how do you prevent this kind of abuse of illegal materail (because if you don't, you open yourself up liability wise). Because with anything GOOD and pure, comes shitheadedness and abuse - it's what humans do. In a way your site is kind of like pastebin.com but for more than just text. Also, how long does stuff stay on the canvas? Does it have an auto-reset period that blanks it out after x amount of time?
>>1560626Consider adding a FAQ link/section as these kinds of questions will grow over time and you'll get sick of answering them.
>>1560617Yes, there is such a feature. When you hover over a post, you see additional information. There is a three-dot menu where you can report it.>>1560626Oh yes, I’m well aware. This was my biggest worry -luckily, there are third-party services that help with this. Any posted image is checked, and if it’s NSFW, it gets removed. Generally, AI should make moderation possible at scale. No auto-reset. What gets posted stays there forever, unless it is something illegal.>>1560627Good idea! :) Thank you!
>>1560593It would be nice if the wasd keys or perhaps Alt+arrows let you pan across the spaceThe normal arrow keys are a bit unintuitive. Maybe if you added faint indicators showing which direction the nearest posts are, it would be less disorienting
I think you are limiting yourself by making it one website for the whole WWW . I know some people made it big like the million dollar homepage where you could buy 1 pixel for 1 dollar. However those times are gone and the times have come where people sit in little self-moderating clumps for a reason. Perhaps it's better to piggyback off of someone else's authentication and moderation systems. Like discord or reddit. And a subreddit could have its canvas and the mods would be mods and the users would be users. Another idea is that it could rain sometimes and wash the graffiti away? That's a lot like an image board or forum. But I understand that the permanence is a core value for your project. You could therefore emulate the 5-year diaries people use . So the additions of the users are permanent but the site isn't static. For instance, every day you could see something new because all the entries including your own from the past x years show up . By default you see the current fresh and editable surface and the edits from the same day on the previous years. My biggest suggestion is to have the date, the time of day and the year and perhaps the country of someone's IP address have an effect on what they see on your website.
>>1560706ignore everything this faggot saidyou should do the exact opposite
>>1560702Hm. Ok. I don't see why not—about panning with Alt + Arrows—so people don't have to rely on the mouse that much. Good idea. Thanks.About the indicators—there is an indication of nearby posts that are out of the screen. You can see orange lines around the edges sometimes, but that is for all nearby posts that are locally loaded. Might need to come up with a better solution.>>1560706The biggest problem similar projects have is an emptiness problem. Fragmenting it into "sub-boards" would make it much worse. Initially, just one global board is good. Let's keep it simple. The date idea is interesting. I was thinking that it could serve as some kind of time capsule / zeitgeist preview, but I'm not sure. You could see what was posted exactly one year ago. This would be just something small, not a big feature. This might come only after a few years.>>1560712KEK
