How do I delete personal info from the internet that i never put there myself intentionally? It's kind of absurd how I've never used social media or otherwise made a public online footprint yet when you search my real name, my entire life details get unveiled.Meanwhile all my normie friends who have dozens of social media accounts, nothing about them comes up when you google their real names. Is the world just playing a joke on me? This shit makes me fucking furious how I the introvert get the most cosmic punishment.
>>1560634contact the website owner and request that it be taken down. some will be helpful, others will call you a niggerfaggot and block you. some people are just dicks. depending on where you live you might have more rights, like in the eu the gdpr protects your "right to be forgotten" i think, there's stuff like this in some other places too. but some places have nothing and then you're just kind of fucked unless the website owner wants to be helpful.also https://myactivity.google.com/results-about-you this can help get it delisted from google but that's all it does, if they approve it then it won't show up in google search results specifically.
>>1560634For UK minors, there is CEOP (tackles online child sex abuse). I think they'll take down your personal info for you; only if you are a minor though I assume.Maybe other countries have equivalent agencies.
This is also something I am interested in. Does anyone know if paid services like Incogni work?
>>1560708I signed for incogni and yes, it works. At one time, searching for my name, did bring up outdated information about me. After about a year, I have just about disappeared. Now my name only brings up people who have similar names in other states or mentions by other people.
>>1560720I dont mean to get too personal, but does it do a good job of erasing siblings/family members as well? In my case, even if my name was erased, it'd pull up a cousin/sibling/family member and their profiles would have my info on it anyway
>>1560730Yes, with caveats.Yes. As per my previous post >>1560720, it does a good job of removing personal information online, but your family will either have to sign up for themselves or you get a family plan, which can get very expensive, very fast. But there seems to be some residual effect of the single-person plan. These online sites aggregate your personal information to form histories and relations, and in my case, I have disappeared from those as well. Now, if someone were trying to find me via family members, I don't exist at all.
>>1560814how much does it cost, any discounts, and how many months did it take for you to get the results you wanted?
>>1561385Just go to incogni - I went for the most inexpensive plan for one person and the price is very reasonable for the peace of mind.I am not sure how long it took but I figure I disappeared from the first page of results in a matter of six months.Regarding discounts - I joined on a whim of a youtuber referal discount. If you view Tech Tube long enough, no doubt Incogni will be sponsoring a video with a referral code.
