I finished Ninja Hattori-kun, caught up with Crayon Shin-Chan's and Chibi Maruko-chan's subtitles and am finishing up with Doraemon 1979's... Where to next?I am fine with translations in English, Russian, Spanish, German and Italian, but I need to be able to find them relatively easily on the cat website. I can also try to watch Chinese subtitles too, so long as they are in simplified writing (default writing system on the mainland). My only condition is that I tend to watch titles that started between 1967 and 1986, as a rule, so this is a range of years to go by, but not a hard rule.

>>1561282Watch castle in the sky. it's a japanese anime movie released in 1986 by studio ghibli. its famous so you may have already watched it.
>>1561341Been there done that with those. I liked all but Gunbuster.>>1561559Seen it. Not everything by Ghibli is all that good imo, but Castle in the Sky is one of the real gems.

>>1562859Added to my watchlist, along with Q-Taro (which seems only natural).>>1563226Seen all but Galatt, 999, Kimengumi (film and series, but I have been meaning to). This is a good list, though.I return some recommendations to you. If you can handle ARR's subtitles (fwiw) then I suggest Kyojin no Hoshi. The first 68 episodes have been done at this point and it is one of ARR's better sets of subtitles, so someone actually cares instead of just giving the first episode or two to whatever.Additionally, many Westerners ignore Adachi's anime. I do not know why. Pick one of them (Nine is the shortest at 3.5 hours total, while Touch is the longest with a 42 hour total runtime) and watch it.My last recommendation is that of Igano Kabamaru. Good anime, but it had a retarded airing slot when it came out (it was competing against Captain Tsubasa), so it faired poorly. The ending disappoints in some ways and the final episode is complete filler (in the best way, without saying too much in terms of details), but it is sure to have you laughing (picrel btw).As this thread continues, I am just doing a rewatch some stuff that I used to watch 15-16 years ago (Slayers, Lost Universe, Gokudo, Zenki, El-Hazard, Ruin Explorers, Blue Seed, Haunted Junction and so forth). As I am taking a short break from Doraemon (I am on episode 1600 out of 1787).
I am afraid you'll probably have seen it but just in case, the original Dororo (1969) is pretty good. Hi no Tori: Uchu Hen is also a really nice watch. The OVA is from 1987 but it's based on a late 60's manga. Junk Boy (1987) Maison IkkokuOishinbo
>>1563412Good choices, but I have seen all Hi no Tori anime and the other three that you listed. Now watch Hiatari Ryoko.
>>1563468And Dororo too. I even own the manga.
