This was probably one of the most unique games made in RPG maker made by a westerner, at least by the overall look of it. Around 2025 Stroj, the developer of this game, gets brain damage and essentially goes insane, with the supposed help from some 'cord cult that groom him. First he sabotaged his game, cutting content from the 2 chapters that was already created and adding a "fuck you" type of ending where he rants about how his fanbase is disgusting and ends on MC ACKing himself. Later he seems to be starting getting normal again, and even add back all the dialogues and content he cut previously with the fixed 3 chapter, but eventually decide to completely erase his presence from the internet as well as this game. It was delisted from Steam and it's page was scrubbed off the itch.io, and since the game was a free project you couldn't even find it elsewhere. There around 3 version of this game worth preserving: pre 3 chapter version with unaltered 1-2 chapters version with original 3 chapterversion with fixed 3 chapter
To be fair video game “fans” are the worst. I can see how even a mentally-sound gamedev can hate them.
>>1561319Well I couldn't find any links in the archive/wayback or anywhere else including the torrent search engines. Even AI just decided to fuck around and train itself because it couldn't find shit. There are some mentions about sharing the download links in this steam discussion thread. https://steamcommunity.com/app/2177620/discussions/0/804592995637868734/If you really care about preserving it then try to dm some of those people and ask for their copy(it was free so it's not even piracy). There was also a mention that the dev advertised his game on /v/ but I doubt that he would've posted separate download links when itchio already took care of that for free (fuck their download system that can't be archived). There's also a mention of a fan discord in another thread but the discord link is broken so maybe ask for a new one.https://steamcommunity.com/app/2177620/discussions/0/766312101614660000/You can also try using this guide or using the steamcmd(most likely will have the same result).https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=612123836 I also found a request for a game copy here so maybe bump the request.https://boards.4chan.org/vrpg/thread/3933092/#p3953119
>>1561333Thanks for the effort, anon. Didn't really expect much from making this thread, since the game is very obscure and the board, honestly, seems dead. Unfortunately it all seems to be a dead ends. The first thread already have this request that end up being ignored, and the other discussion are too old to actually expect an answer there. downloading through steam://install or steamcmd launch just gives you "no license" error, like if this game was actually cost money, while trying to enter the game id into steam support just finding nothing at all.
I'm pretty sure the game was godot based instead of RPG maker. I messaged some people, lets see if they answer ;)
>>1561347update: I got the version with the original 2 first chapters, I'll wait to get one with chapter 3 to post it
>>1561347 Well, that's explains why it's soo different looking from the average rpg maker game. A little bit disappointing, since i remember seeing quite a few Japanese RPG maker projects that turn into something absolutely unrecognizable from a default 'maker game. Like a Hat World: New Testament, or a untranslated fighting game for 2000-2003 version of rpg maker, (https://w.atwiki.jp/vip_rpg/pages/528.html) always wanted to see some western response to such games. It's still good so it didn't really matter i guess. >>1561384Thanks again for the work. I'm sure other anons that were late to try this will appreciate it too.
>>1561384Well that's good. Make sure to reupload it to multiple platforms (especially to archive.org). Back up stuff that you like or care about yourself because if you don't then shit like that might happen again.
>>1561319https://gofile.io/d/Rjy4oOAlthough the person who was supposed to send me a link to the final chapter 3 stopped replying me for some reason, someone else sent me the old and the 'fixed' versions of chapter 3 that he supposedly found some weeks ago on a Discord server, in the end all 3 versions were found.
>>1561498Really nice news to lift up the mood after such mid April Fools. I think it would be better to load the game at least at one other place, probably go for Internet Archive. Do you have any requests on how would you like being mention in a description as person thanks to which this game was found, outside of just "anon from wsr"?
