I vaguely recall a comic made about a decade ago that was all about experts discussing how (according to their research) nostalgia is based entirely on what you liked when you were 12.

Not really true. I was really into going to Sunday school and collecting religious knick knacks back then. Aside from a desire to have a house with wall curtains I haven't had any form of nostalgia from that time
