can someone please help me figure out how to ratchet strap this tank to prevent more bowing as shown in vid below?https://streamable.com/h6s9giI bought some ratchet straps that look like pic rel and realized they won't work on this tankWhat kind of straps or any other tools should I use to tighten this tank and prevent it from bowing when I fill it up more?
>>1563066are you thinking of strapping around the outside of the tub? because that will only exacerbate the problem the more you squeeze around it, the rounder it will become
>>1563097damn, idk what to do then. I've tried searching for how others fixed this but got no results.
>>1563066Why
>>1563103so the tank doesn't break or bendalso the tank is like $200 cheaper than an aquarium of similar size
>>1563104It's not made for what you are using it for.If its a stackable tub get 1 or 2 more and put it inside them.
>>1563066If you want a large plastic liquid container, it'll need a metal frame to keep its shape
>>1563118how can I diy a frame? can it be made of wood instead? idk how I'm gonna shape metal
>>1563119>can I diy a frame? can it be made of wood instead? If it's a smaller container that may be adequate. Grab a couple 2x4's, cut to desired size, screw the corners together
>>1563119You could get two 2x4's the length of the long side of the tank. Put them on the inside of the ratchet strap and boom. Compress the long sides without rounding it.
>>1563130are you saying to do something like pic rel?
>>1563176Just have the one strap going around the whole thing. See how there's a 2x4 on the top and bottom with a strap going all of the way around? Like that but on the sides with your ratchet strap.
