From Gigabyte B550M DS3H, Ryzen 5 5600G, and Radeon RX 6600 to Asrock B650M Pro RS, Ryzen 5 7500F and Arc B580. And RAM too.

My question is, should I do a full OS reinstall?
Also, is Win 10 still safe to use in 2026 or should I accept reality and move on to Win 11?

Windows 10 with the extra 3 years will get you security updates. LTSC release would be better.

Hmm, interesting.
LTSC release is several time more expensive but still pretty cheap.

Got same mobo/GPU paired with the 3600. So I know you're broke + this shit still run fine. Why would you even swap everything for a slight upgrade (not even sure an Intel GPU is considered an upgrade)

That's the thing, it doesn't run fine.
Some backstory, the PC is originally my cousin's who decided to lend it to me a couple months ago after I said about building a PC after a decade of using a gaming laptop.
It was unused for like a year, and when it came there's no storage and RAM, and the case has no fans because his room was super chilly, so I had to buy those.
And then I made the dumb mistake of buying 2 different gen RAM (same brand and model), so there's no expo, and the mobo turned out to have broken B1 and B2 RAM slot.
At that point, I decided to just make it my actual PC while upgrading to a problem-free build, so I saved for a bit.

As for the Penguin, I have several questions
>how difficult is it setup
>does it have day 1 or fast drivers support for modern games

I usually just buy one time activation keys.
It's like $1 for Win 10 Pro, the LTSC is like $4.

Don't want dome rando being able to get into my computer.

I'm not so poor I can't afford 4 fucking dollars once per motherboard.

I don't get it, as long as it's DDR4 you can mix and match sticks on B3/B4. The higher freq stick will be downgraded to match the other. Sure it's not optimal but it's not the end of the world.

I'd say beginner friendly distributions are easier to set up and install than windows. Look at Bazzite or Nobara for gaming out of the box.

And if you want to stick to Windows >>1563370
