No matter what I do whenever I boot up CS2 it crashes on the black screen that says valve every time. I've tried reinstalling, validating, redownloading drivers, rolling back drivers. fully deleting drivers and reinstalling them, turning off overlays, deleting my shader cache, deleting my config files. I don't know what is happening, I don't get any error codes, I'm simply lost at this point I just wanna play CS2.the furthest i've ever gotten is the main menu before it just closes, i dont know what is happeningRTX 4060, Ryzen 5 7600, 32 GB ram, windows 11
>>1563528apparently a lot of people are having this issue, i'm just gonna give up and hope valve notices this bug
>>1563528Try Windows 10 via dual boot, or maybe even Linux. Haven't played CS2 so not sure if its anti-cheat works on Linux, but since it's Valve's own game it should probably support Linux well. These days having a Linux in dual-boot is a good idea in general, strange times when Windows is getting so bad that by now Linux is genuinely a less crappy OS for many common use-cases.
