I am trying to rip footage from a DVD (for the sake of editing and I can't find the clip online) but this keeps happening. Apparently it's because of the film DRM so how do I circumvent this? Like I don't need the whole ass movie, just one clip.
>>1563782Play the DVD with VLC. If that works, rip the movie with VLC

>>1563782You can screencap it too by using software like Faststone Capture 11.2 or Camtasia (overkill) or something screen capture like. I screen cap stuff all the time using Faststone Capture. It's 30 fps with sound, you can leave out the cursor and cursor clicks/sounds. There are a lot of free and open source capture tools out there if you search for them.
There is software that can do this too. https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/wonderfox_dvd_ripper_pro.htmlWonderFox DVD Ripper Pro 24.3

When used with libdvdcss, HandBrake can read and convert CSS-encrypted DVDs, which gives it a place in a free DVD backup workflow. Even so, this setup only helps with CSS-protected DVDs and should not be seen as a complete solution for all types of copy protection.
