Spoiler tags only work on some boards. If the board allows images to be hidden by spoilers, then spoiler tags work too.

This. And I'd like to add that you don't need to add the [/spoiler] if the spoiler is at the end (or the entirety) of your post. Only use the closing tag is you intend to write something after the spoiler, otherwise it'll show up in your spoiler and make you look like a newfag.
